My cat loves this toy more than any other I've ever brought into the house. As the other reviewers stated it doesn't last long, he got about two weeks of frequent play with it. But my cat did not go easy on it so I wasn't surprised to see it break. I would recommend this toy for any cat.

My cats love this toy! The toy is not made too well - if the cats get a good hold on it the feathered top will come off the stick - so when I buy them I wrap duct tape about the base of the feathers to the stick and it stays attached. One of my cats will catch the feather and run off with it while the other cats chase him. The cats carry the feather part in their mouths all over the house. We must have about 30 of theses feather toys in our home - hidden around the house by our cats.

My cats LOVE this teaser, but the top foot or so (the feather down through the bendy part of the top) breaks off within about 10 minutes of play. One of my cats will then still play with that part (chase it, drag it around, etc.), but he is less interested once it breaks. Since he has a lot of energy and goes stir crazy (sometimes then starting fights) if I don't play with him enough, I bought a second one even though the first broke mainly because he loved it so much. I might duct tape it back on and see if he'll still play--but I don't really want him chewing on the tape, so I've been leary of doing it. If you have active, energetic cats they will love this toy, BUT be forewarned that it will break after 1-2 play sessions.

The plastic piece that joins the stick and the twisted wire split within a few minuets of play.

We've been buying these for years. The cats go crazy for them; probably the sound from the ribbon with the visual of the feathers.

BUT, the old version used a plastic coated wire to attach the feathers to the stick. The batch we just ordered uses just a thin plastic rod, which snapped 4 times; each time I 'repaired' it by re-attaching it with electrical tape. After the 4th break, with no plastic wire left, we plan to repair it with a piece of coated wire. I wouldn't recommend it unless you're willing to go through the effort to reinforce it.

Does the manufacturer ever see these reviews? I hope so, because like most other people writing here, my cat LOVES this toy. Nothing else gets her going like this, not even other wands. It seems to be the ribbon crinkles. But then after a few days, the darn things break, and I'm off to the store to buy more, only to discover that they're out because all the other cat owners had to do the same thing. Is this an evil plot? If so, it's working, because I'm online to buy more....

I really liked this product and so did my cat. It was easy storage and didn't get in the way, but most importantly my cat enjoyed the toy. I have had it for about 7 months and its already been broken the feather piece has separated from the wand. Although my cat loves both even separated I wish it had stuck together and the silver pieces fall out and get torn up easily. I love this toy and would recommend it, but I wish it would stay together better.

My 3 never care for any toys for long. In fact the stick end got better attention than the feather end did. However, when I gave the slightly used toy to my mother, her cat went wild for it. She LOVES it. She will find the toy, pull it out of the umbrella rack, and bring it to you for play time. It is quite durable for the price. Don't get just any feather toy. This one has plastic curled strips that pull out and make a sound when they snap back.

My cat LOVES this toy. It did crack at the part of the wand where the flexable part attaches to the wand, but I just wrapped a small piece of duck tape around it and it is good as new. At first I did think it was a bit short, but my cat carries it around easier, than if it was longer. She brings it to me when she wants to play with it. It is by far her favorite toy. She is 7 and plays like a kitten when we use this toy - her birdie. I plan to buy more of these, just incase she tears it up. But it really seems put together well. She's had it for a year and no feathers have come out, just a few of the curled ribbon parts.

This would be a great toy if it didn't break so easily. The construction is inferior. I have bought at least four of these within days of getting them. They are fairly inexpensive, but not worth buying them over and over. We had a different one a year ago, also purchased at Petsmart that has lasted quite a while. It is a different manufacturer but for some reason is no longer carried at Petsmart. I would not recommend this one.

This is my cats favorite toy and he plays with it all the time. They have changed how it is made. It used to be much more durable. The stick on the last two (which now have shiny strands) broke within the first play season. The old ones lasted for months. Please bring back the old product, the new one is not cutting it!

My cats LOVE this toy. They cannot resist -- I call it "kitty kryptonite." One of them loves to grab it by the feathers and walk around the house with it. It's immensely frustrating, however, that it breaks so easily. I've probably gone through half a dozen of them and only keep buying them because the boys are crazy for them. I have another feather on a stick toy that doesn't have the join-point problem and the cats aren't nearly as interested in this one (naturally).

This is by far my cat's favorite toy. its one of the few she'll actually play with. When I ignore her too long, she grabs this in her mouth and drags it over to me, begging for play time. As far as the cat it concerned, this is the greatest thing ever. As the owner/purchaser, I am disappointed by how often I need to replace it. Wands have snapped on me, the rubber part separates from the plastic part (some hot glue can fix this), and the feathers and ribbons will be torn off very quickly by a playful cat. Some wands have lasted me a couple weeks but some only last a couple days. But, my cat loves this item so much, that I always go back to buy it again. I probably go through 3 or 4 a month.

Out of all the wand toys, my cat LOVES this one. It must be the combination of the shiny ribbon and the feathers! He absolutely goes crazy when I bring it out of the closet. The only issue that I have is that it broke apart after a few days of using it :( I don't know if it's my kitty being too rough with it but I wish it would last a bit longer.

Pros: amuses my kittens to no end, cute colors, love the ribbons + feathers!, rather cheap

This is to date, my kitten's favorite toy. She's about 5 months, and I've bought her all kinds of other toys, even other feather toys or stick toys, and she always comes back to this one. She did destroy it by ripping nearly all the feathers and curlies out, but regardless she still carries it in her mouth all over the house. I don't think it really fell apart easily, she just really pulled the feathers out with her teeth. I'm totally fine with buying her new ones, in fact I plan to this week. Would definitely recommend this to anyone with a cat.
