As soon as I saw this product, I knew I had to buy it. It looks like so much fun, with all the textures shape sizes.
My budgies and cockatiel took to it right away. I hung it up in my hanging gym outside of their cage as a ladder/bridge between toys. My one budgies flew right to it, and kept walking up and down it.
I love it, and they love it. Wasn't very expensive. A smart buy.

I have five parrots - a lesser Jardine's, a Brown-necked Cape, a Hahns, a Timneh, and a Senegal. Each of them have at least one of these perches in their cage, and we also use these perches in the aviary.
Yes, these are natural branches with holes drilled in each end and a quick link (and on some, a chain) inserted through said holes so that the perch can be hung. Yes, many (most) medium and large sized parrots are going to naturally want to chew the wood, especially around where the holes are. But perches, like toys, are not (or, at least, should not be) permanent. Your bird will likely chew it, and you will need to replace it. That is life with a parrot.
I think most folks are rigid with their perception of where and how this perch "should" be placed - just because it swings and has a quick link on each end doesn't mean that it needs to be hung from the top of the cage like a swing. Our cages are very large, with the smallest being 32" wide, and the longest I can find this perch is 24". I hang them throughout the cage from the side bars. This way, they may wobble a bit, but don't necessarily swing. My Sennie likes to swing, so I attach stainless steel chain to the quick links, and attach it like a regular swing from the top of his cage. When one end is chewed, I drill a new hole and re-insert the chain/quick link. Sometimes, I don't drill new holes on the ends, but instead let it hang vertically, and in this case, I may drill holes in the center and attach plastic chain, leather bits, or other toys. My parrots enjoy it either way.
My Hahns, in particular, loves to "fight" with and chew on these perches even when he is offered a variety of other wooden toys and perches to destroy. My Cape loves to peel the bark off of these perches, dismantling it layer by layer. My Timneh uses them to clean his beak and hang upside down from, and my Jardine's likes them best when hung vertically from one end so she can swing back and forth like Tarzan. They may be pricy, but they keep the birds entertained and perform a valuable function by keeping nails and beaks neat and trimmed, and keeping muscles strong and toned.
Over all, a fantastic addiction to the cage of any bird that isn't fearful of oddly shaped moving objects.
Pros: Keeps Nails Trimmed, easy to clean

My two parakeets love this perch. It has a chain on both ends so it swings a little when they land on it. It has an interesting shape which exercises their feet and it is easy to clean as I just wipe it down once a week with a wet cloth. It is a little pricy but other than that it is a great buy. As a bonus it keeps their sharp little claws trimmed with its wacky shape.

This perch looks awesome in my budgie cage. I got the 24 inch one to put in a flight cage 32 inches wide. I too wish it had chains or something to hang it lower with so took off 1 star for that reason. I used plastic bird to links to hang it about 6 inches lower. This perch is natural wood which is good for your birds claws... it is uneven and twisty which is good for your birds feet and legs. It swings , sways and twists with every movement a bird makes which causes the birds to continually use muscles to keep their balance which is awesome for their feet legs and overall muscle tone. It is very unique looking which I love.

I hung this in front of my Meyer's sleep tent and he used it daily. Apparently he was so fascinated by the material, that he chewed it right where the ring inserts into the branch and very quickly broke it. It is definetely not fixable unless I drill a new hole into the branch and now only dangles on one ring.
Considering that I only had this item for about 2-3 weeks, it is not worth the money. The attachments for hanging this perch are very short, so it is impracticle for anything larger than a Poicephalus. The holes that are drilled into the perch to hang it are so far at teh end, that any parrot can easily chew through them. The shiney metal of the rings inserted into the wood naturally attracts them right to this weak point.
Conclusion: although my Meyer's liked this perch, seeing that he prefered it for chewing rather than sitting on, it is a waste of money.
Cons: easily destroyed, price

My parakeets love to perch on this swing, but it is very difficult to clean and keep clean, because of all of the crevices in the wood hold the bird droppings.

I purchased this product after reading reviews elsewhere. I thought I would try it out with my Pionus, since other reviewers said that their birds liked the fact that they can swing on the perch.
The first problem I ran into was the fact that the hardware on the sides is short (basically a 1" ring and small c-clamp on each side). So, if I put it inside of my Pi's cage, he would not be able to stand up on the middle of the perch without knocking his head against the top of the cage.
So, I instead put it on the top of his cage and attached it to the bottom part of his dishes (I don't use the dishes so it was fine). That way, he can sit on the perch without hitting his head. (See picture)
He hasn't really liked it, though... he's been on it 2-3 times and looks a little freaked out when it starts swinging. The swinging seems a little erratic, probably based on how he's distributed his weight and the fact that the perch is natural and not symmetrical. He likes other swings, though. Maybe he'll eventually grow accustomed to it, but so far hasn't.
Pros: natural, unique
Cons: needs additional hardware to function in cage
