Destroys any other heater, October 31, 2009

"I've owned several other heaters, two of which were, Rena 300w Smart Heater and Marineland 250 stealth heaters. I used both in 55g african cichlid tank. While I do believe that both of these heaters are good, they both have their problems. Stealth heaters have trouble keeping the temp at set temp. without fluctuation(plus/minus 2df). It also never reads temp as set. The Rena Smart heater keeps temp very steady,(plus/minus 1df)but does not read set temp. In fact I had two 300w Smart heaters in tank and their temp settings were so off that one heater never turned on, which bring me to my point. I have several thermometers reading the tank and take digital thermal scans of the water surface and tank, so I'm sure what the true temp of the water is. I now have two Fluval 200w vuetechs heating my tank. They both read exactly the same temp or 78df and when they heat the water they both read 78.5df. My digital thermal scans read exactly what the Fluval reads. These heaters are hands down the most accurate and coolest(actual lcd temp) heaters on the market."
