Too stiff,

Cons: too stiff.
"Our kitten loves to bite, so we thought he would enjoy something like this to chew on, but he was not interested in it at all. In fact, it has been the only thing we have bought him that he has not played with. The odor seemed to offend him - he would look at it and smell it, but then shake his head and walk away, looking at it like it was weird.
The quality of the item is good and mostly what you would expect. I think that it's texture could be improved though. I expected it to be more wiggly, like a gummy, but it was just kind of flexible. Kitties like movement, and this toy is just too stiff for what it is trying to accomplish.
As for the odor, It was weird to me, but I haven't smelled raw catnip, so maybe it was just catnip smell, and they say not all cats are effected by catnip."

Pros: well made for aggressive chewers! Cons: how about some different sizes and colors?
"My cat likes to play with all kinds of toys, but I noticed she also had a tendency to chew on things. I looked for cat "chew toys" but could only find them for dogs. I was at PetsMart just before Christmas and saw this Pet Stages Wiggle Worm cat toy and I was so happy! I took it home, played with my cat to introduce her to the toy and it was less than five minutes and she was gnawing away on the wiggle worm. Now she finds the wiggle worm several times a day and chews on it, carries it around, and thoroughly enjoys her little cat self. She is fairly agressive with the wiggle worm and it is holding up extremely well."

"Our kitten's first reaction to this toy was one of complete ambivalence. He sniffed it, kicked it around a few times, then went about his merry business. Now it's been a few days and the toy has completely reclaimed his attention. Our little one enjoys chewing on it (and the texture holds up perfectly to his sharp new teeth) and batting it around the kitchen floor. The toy has a tackiness to it so doesn't move as fluidly as other toys do, but that's more of an observation than a problem. Overall, another great high quality product from the people at petstages."

"I have three cats. One is a troublesome chewer. She likes to chew my purses and my husband's flipflops. It took a couple of weeks but she now loves chewing on this worm. It doesn't show any bite marks either! I like knowing it is non-toxic. My boy cat likes to bat it around as well. Two cats who actually like the same toy means a win at my house."

"At first when I brought two of these home, my three four-year old cats Abby, Bubba and Buddy, did not know what to make of the texture. I found them a bit sticky, so I rinsed them off, and then they went right for it. I find them in all kinds of different locations from day to day, so they are obviously batting them about. Often, at least one is in one of the water bowls. They are very sturdy as I have repeatedly got them stuck in my Oreck vacuum between the rollers, but each time, have been able to get them out, clean them up and good to go all over again.
Abby, Bubba and Buddy say five paws!"
