WOW! Great filter ...!,

Pros: clean water Cons: powerful in a small tank
"I have a very small 1.5 gallon tank for my Betta. Had been using the Tetra filter that came with the tank which was AWFUL! I didn't mind doing a 50% water change weekly, but the pump wasn't even flowing.
SO glad I got this pump to replace it!! After doing weekly water changes, I did it for first time in a MONTH today -- it keeps it THAT clear! (I did remove the cartridge 2 different times and rinse it out, which per the instructions is fine).
The pump is VERY powerful, so even on the lowest flow setting I do have to use the diffuser for my small tank. I installed without the diffuser originally and it was swirling my poor fish like crazy - so just FYI if you have a small tank you will most likely need it. The diffuser provides much more aeration, though and you can see daily how clear the water is so its worth it.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND this pump for low maintenance, high performance and a VERY happy fish!"

The little filter that could,

Pros: quiet cleans water Cons: none!
"For what it is, this is a great little filter. It's very easy to use and super quiet... so quiet in fact I plugged it in and didn't even realize it was on except for the water flow. The water comes out a little spout, or you can attach the extension piece that comes with it to disperse the water more evenly across the surface. It did an excellent job at cleaning my little fish bowl too. The water was crystal clear! I was worried about the suction cups sticking to the curved side of the bowl, but it never once failed me, and it was even a little tough to get off for cleaning! Filter replacements are cheap. For small tanks, this filter is perfect."

"I bought a 1.5 gallon tank and put 2 goldfish in it. I didn't care for the little air operated internal filter it came with. I saw this one at the store and figured I would give it a shot. I love it! It keeps the water clean and that says a lot since I have goldfish (which are dirty fish). It doesn't cost much and the filters are like 3 for $5 so its a good value. The only negative thing is it's supposed to have adjustable flow, but it seems like no matter what setting its on, the flow is the same. But its still a great little internal power filter!"

Pros: runs silently, small/easy to hide, adjustable flow, gentle but efficient, optional spray bar
