I have a 90 lb Golden Retriever mix & 70 lb yellow lab mix. These are the only chew toys I have found that they do not destroy within an hour. It takes several months before I have to replace them & they absolutely love chewing on them. They do leave little bits behind but they are easily vacummed up. Great for powerful chewers!

Great for Heavy Chewers

My dog (greyhound/lab mix) was chewing on anything (especially my wooden desk chair) at night because she would get bored. Once I got this (the large one, of course) for her, she stopped chewing on my things and went to town on this bone. It lasted a good long while (roughly 2 1/2 months) as her primary chew toy until I got her another one. For a strong chewer like my dog, these are definitely great.

My dog (an Australian Cattle Dog) typically loves all things Nylabone, but these bones are especially amazing! They are very durable and time consuming for my dog. It's already been several months and it's still in good shape and still a favorite for my dog!

Very good product! I have a very small dog, but she is a chewer. looking for anything to chew! After the loss of furniture, shoes and even clothes, I purchased this Dura Chew and she loves it. she spends hours chewing on it and really enjoys it. This is her favorite toy. The product is made very well. I do not see any signs of wear other than normal chewing and it looks that it will last a very long time. I would recommend this to anyone with a dog that chews frequently. It gives hours of enjoyment when the pet is bored. I have even had to buy 3 total so I have one for each of my dogs or they will fight over it!

My 70 pound olde english bulldog looooves this toy! Just one problem - hes nearly chewed the ends right off. Hes a super heavy chewer. We'll probably buy another one, but just be prepared for little pieces to come off eventually.

Recently got a new puppy, he chews alot!! Purchased the nylabone for him and it really cut down on him chewing my stuff. They last a long time and if you soak them in chicken broth then freeze your pet would enjoy for hours !!

My Border Collie mix just loves to chew on anything he can get his jaws on. One morning I woke up to him chewing on my sunglasses and, in my state of anger, I had to think of something to keep his mouth on rather than exploring my belongings, or my boyfriend's. I went to Petsmart with my dilemna, and they recommended Nylabone. I wasn't quite sure. I give my dog bones that are easily chewable and digestible. I figured I'd give it a try and I am so happy I did. They are extremely durable, which means no worries for you about your baby tearing apart the bone and moving onto something else more entertaining to chew on. Since they do not break, it will keep the dog's attention on it rather than other breakable items. At times, my little Border will still perfer to eat the bones that actually break apart, but once he's had enough of those his attention goes right back to the Nylabone.

My dog is a very powerful chewer. I have bought her the softer durachews before and she loved them, but she destroyed them in no time. She has had this one for almost a year and it still holds up. When she gets bored she will sit down and chew it for long periods of time. I just wish they came in different flavors so I would have more options for her.

the best chew toy I have found for my Jack/Short Haired Terrier mix yet. He is a very powerful chewer. He can go thru one of the biggest ones in approx. 1 month. Worthwhile investment. Saves my furniture. Only problem I have is that he is allergic to chicken so I have to find the bacon flavor ones. The stores in my area have a limited selection of the bacon flavor treats.

My 18 pound dachshund named Pickles is a fierce and ungodly chewer. He can destroy a regular nylabone in 5 minutes flat. He is tenacious to say the least.

I find that the dura chews last him longer and can stand up to his fierce jaws far longer than any other brand or type of nylabone.

The dinosaur chews by nylabones are wonderful too but PetSmart does not carry them. I normally get the nylabone pull tug with all the raised bumps. It looks like a midieval torture device but that thing takes a lickin and it takes a while for my fierce and mighty beast to annihilate them.

This bone lasted a few months, whereas the normal Nylabone's only last maybe a month. Plus, the original Nylabones become pointed when our 80+ lb Rhodesian Ridegback/Lab mix chews them, but this bone held up it's shape extremely well. I'd say our dog probably spends close to 5 hours a day chewing on this bone, no exaggeration...and she LOVES it! She is a compulsive chewer but this bone has by far outlast any other kind we have tried.

Pros: maintains shape, very long lasting, different textures keep her spinning the bone

Definitely not designed for powerful chewers. Some would think that I have a huge pit or rottweiler after listening to the list of "durable" toys that my dog has been through. But they would be wrong. I have a 28 lb Brittany and she had a chunk taken off this toy in less than 10 minutes.

We have a 10month old 20lb schnoodle and he loves to chew everything! After giving him this nylabone, he has stopped chewing on other things and resorted to only chewing "his bone". He will chew it for hours. Its the first thing he goes for when he wakes in the morning. Will definitely be buying more of these!

While I think this might be good for other dogs, my pup prefers the flexible chews over these harder ones. She will chew on this as a last resort but not any longer than a couple of minutes.

The quality is great and I'm sure the flavor is fine, but I believe it's more of a dog prefence thing.

I have a tough chewer, who gets bored easily. This toy entertains him for at least an hour and then he likes to cuddle with after chewing. No large pieces have come off the toy to be concerned with. The reason I didn't give this product a five rating is because of the small pieces (like shavings) my dog leaves behind. The shavings get caught up in soft fabrics that may be around.

Pros: maintains dog's interest for long periods, product lasts for months

Cons: leaves shavings after chewing session

The other reviewer really might have had a fluke. At least I hope that's what it was because I'd love to buy this bone again. We have a 60lb lab mix. In the past, we've gotten her the Nylabone Durables for powerful chewers in the white original flavor many times. She'd chew the ends off, creating sharp, shank-like edges in 1-2 days. I was a little worried that the same thing would happen with this Nylabone, but somehow... she's had the same one for three months. She has chewing time with it at least once a day and the shape is still intact. She loves it and won't play with anything else, so I'll definitely be buying another one whenever the time might come.

There may be a defect in the smal bone. My pet was estatic to get this but in a couple of minutes somehow the seem came off and the bone split in half. I took the 1st one back thinking Ok this was just a fluke but the same happened with the 2nd one.
