I just got a new dog who was not used to walking on a leash and is scared of everything.to make her walking experience better i bought her this harness so it wouldn't tug at her neck when she became scared.within a couple of days she was learning how to walk on the leash and knows that the harness means we get to go outside.she loves it and so do I!

I purchased this product for my Miniature Schnauzer when she was approximately six months old (she's two and a half now) and I love it! Even better, she loves it! She was never a fan of the collar, so once she grew out of it I grabbed this harness for her. Originally, when she was smaller she could get out of it, but I tightened it a bit and all was well. The only thing I've noticed that is negative is that over time it has been faded by the sun. She lives in her harness, partially because I do not feel comfortable with her not wearing her tags at all times (just in case) and the other reason is because when I take it off of her all she wants to do is put it back on. Where with her collar she would run away, I pick up her harness and she runs to me and waits expectantly. Another thing I appreciate about this harness is that the leash hooks toward the back versus at the neck, because I feel like I am able to control her better with the leash at the base of the product. All-in-all, we love it and definitely recommend it!

I use the harness for walks and I like the feeling of control it provides. But the cheap plastic connecting clasp is a definite negative. The clasp is difficult to operate because of the stiff locking arms. This is particularly aggravating when removing the harness. My dog is a well behaved German Shepard who waits patiently for me to put the harness on or take it off. I would hate to try to remove this harness from a fidgety or an excited dog.
So I give harness a 'MARGINAL YES' recommendation.

About 3 years back I got this for my beagle. He used to wear it only on walks. But lately, like the last 6 months, he has been wearing it full time. You would think it would fade, or get dirty. But nope! I swear it is in mint condition. Although I suggest you put it on him fairly tight, because if it's too loose they can get out. But that is our fault. Any way GREAT product. And now I'm getting one for my new puppy.

This harness looks okay, but my puppy chewed through it in a few weeks (while wering it). Never again "top paw"!!!!! I will be trying my luck with KONG.

I have been using these products for a long time. I do not like the fact that they started using the cheaper buckles. I liked the all metal buckles better. I like the durability of the harness, collar, and leash but do not like the leashes clasp. I like the more common clasps that come on most all leashes better. I do not like the fact that they do not have a size small harness. I had to buy a medium and alter it to fit my dog. a small would have fit better. But there sizes go from extra small to medium. The look is good though.

We have a 5 month old, 11 pound Cheagle named Percy. At 10 weeks he didn't like his other collar and started eating through it. At 12 weeks we replaced it with this Top Paw model and to date he hasn't chewed on it. That propped us to purchase the same harness and leash, which to date has been just as successful. We can walk him without him being irritated by it, which in return allows us to walk with him more pleasantly. We chose the burnt orange scheme, and with his golden brown and white fur combo was an obvious choice, it has been greatly admired by us and many others. Fairly priced for nice stylish and quality comfort.

Roxy tore that harness apart. It was extremely clever of her to chew the part that connected the harness under the stomach to her back. Leaving me no option to use it on her when we went for walks... dang dog

Great harness!

I just bought this about two hours ago because I saw it and it had such a good price and it looked really sturdy. My 9 year old cocker spaniel had never worn a harness in her life and had never even seen one and yet the moment she saw it she knew it was for walking so I adjusted it until it fit her and we went out. It turned out great and looked really pretty on her, we had a great walk together. I also bought the matching leash that went along with the harness in raspberry.

Oh! and another thing, I bought the medium sized harness because the small looked WAY too small (even in its biggest adjustment) and it turns out that I had extend the size of the medium one because its smallest adjustment was just too small. So, if you have a cocker,spaniel consider the medium instead.

Pros: clasp seems sturdy probably wont break

Cons: clasp is a little difficult/hard to undo

This harness is great! I have a 10 week old English Bulldog and I have tried to put a collar and leash on him and he will not have it! He chews on it and scratches at his neck and tries to get it off. He wouldn't even walk with the collar and leash on and it seemed to be uncomfortable.
I purchased this harness at a Petsmart store and the first time I put it on him he loved it! He was walking around in it and he didn't try to paw it off. He walked perfectly when I walked him with his leash. (I purchased the same brand of leash). He even fell asleep in it :)

I would recommend this product to anyone who has a puppy or dog that hates collars.
My only con for this harness is that the leash hooks towards the back of his body and not close to his neck.
Its strong, durable, and very nice to look at!

Pros: durable, soft and comfortable, great color

Cons: leash clasp doesn't go up by neck
