It does separates within a few minutes and it does have to be refrigerated after you open it. It is easy to mix, my kitten likes it, and she is healthy on it and that is priceless to me.
Pros: works great

I took in a stray pregnant approximately 10 month old cat and she had seven kittens. She seems like she needs help feeding them all, so I bought this and they won't drink it. So I tried to get my full grown cats to drink it and they wouldn't either. Plan on returning it for a refund.
Cons: price, didn't work

I've fostered many, many kittens and bottle-fed most of them, and this is BY FAR the most effective supplement I've used. The big test is -- do they thrive on it? And they do!! The stool is actually firm, which means they are digesting most of the formula, and they like the taste, and gain weight well. This formula does tend to separate in the bottle, so you get solid fatty stuff clinging to the sides of the bottle. I thought Fox Valley was the best, and I was their solid customer, but this is better! No more diarrhea?! SOLD! I only wish it came in larger sizes to get a price break.
Pros: works great, easy to administer
Cons: price

This year was my first bout of bottle feeding kittens, since my boyfriend and I found some in his backyard. We started them with KMR, but when that ran out while we were weaning them to solid kitty food, I bought some of this to replace it.
What a gip. It separates within minutes, the kittens didn't like it, and it just didn't look good. I wish I had read some reviews on this stuff before buying it. $12 down the drain - literally, since that's where our mixed formula went.

I have to admit this product is inferior to other kitten milk replacers. I have raised many, many bottle baby kittens (100 or more) for my local shelter and none of the kittens like the milk, they dont do well on it and it seperates while im feeding the kittens. It contains vegtable oil and whey protein, and my normal milk replacer does not. I wont be using this product any more. I cant even be sure the kittens are getting adequate nutrition since the milk seperates and it does taste bad. My normal replacer is not bad. I wouldnt mix it to drink myself but the taste isnt terrible. The 21 century tastes like vegtable oil. Im pretty sure no momma kitty puts vegtable oil in her own breast milk.
