I have gone through a couple of the fountain type water bowls. I had to get them for one of my cat which she is half blind and with a normal water bowl she would use her paw to pull the bowl to see if there was water in the bowl. That meant that there would be water all over the floor. So I have gone through a couple of these fountains just trying to find the right one for her. I think she likes this one better than all the others; one because she can move the bowl and get water ever where and she can hear the water flowing out and hitting the water in the bowl. Clean up is not that bad either.

i have the stainless one, do not care for the filter, expensive and doesn't last very long. Cats love it
not large enough with no storage.

I've used the Drinkwell 360 for over 4 years now and have had no major problem, except for hair clogging up the pump filter. My filters have lasted 3-4 weeks with no problems. When I change the filter, I quickly clean all parts with diluted bleach & dish soap; process takes just 15mins and have had no issues with slime build-up or clogged filter as other reviews stated. Also with 7 cats using this, I'm adding fresh tap water daily. My cats love drinking free flowing water.

I've been a fan of the drinkwell systems for many years. The 360 is by far the best system on the market today. It comes apart very easy and can go right into the dishwasher. My 3 cats drink more water because of the inviting system and how it stays clean longer since its stainless steel and fully adjustable. The was a great investment for our family. The biggest issue I have is the local Petsmart Stores do not carry the replacement filters for the system! They sell the original product, but none of the filters. This is not just one or two stores, but several! This needs to be fixed. How can a chain sell a product, but not offer the replacement pieces?
Overall, the Drinkwell 360 is an awesome system. Do understand it requires upkeep with cleaning and replacement of filters. It's worth it with 3 thirsty cats.

Love the fountain...but not the filters

I personally own 3 Drinkwell pet fountains, 1 of which is the 360 model. I think they're amazing and my cats seem to agree as well. However, the filters for the 360 have proven to be more of a problem than I'd like to deal with. They get clogged so quickly...and not with hair, bits of food, or what I would have expected to find. Instead, the filter became a big, goopy, slimey mess within 3 days of cleaning. It would either stop running completely or would spill out of the sides, underneath the spout. I threw away the filters and now alternate between distilled and bottled water without the use of filters and it works perfectly. I'd definitely suggest doing that instead of using the filters.

Pros:
1. not noisy
2. various water flow cap you can use
3. big enough but not huge

Con:
1. little bit hard to clean

My cats are more likely to drink water than before. I have this product for almost a year, and it has not broken down yet. Just wish they design an upgraded version of the fountain that is easy to clean.

I have had the Drinkwell 360 fountain and I and my cats love it.
The directions say to replace the filter every 2 weeks depending on size and amount of cats. Well, it needs to be changed 2 weeks no matter what. You can't rinse them to extend the life either. I clean my fountain every 3 days or so to make sure it's clean of the slime that naturally occurs. With the new filter I get great flow, as the filter ages the flow is not as strong. So, I wish there were a way to not change the filter every 2 weeks, fortunately it is not overly expensive to purchase the replacements. They come in a box of 3.
