We got this for my 4 month old kitten who was the runt of the litter and newly out of a foster home. She hated it. Whether it was heated or not, she moved as far away from it as possible. It's durable though, my dog likes to chew on it, but that's about all it's good for.

From the moment I bought the cuddle pal home my kitten loved it. She sleeps with it, hugs it and drags it all over the house with her. Everyone laughs when they see here drag it to the food bowl with her and when she keeps it outside of her litter box when she is using "the facilities". It's months later and she still loves it.

I bought this for my 10 week old kitten after her first visit from the vet. She is a feral kitten and needed a lot of TLC. She was very lethargic coming home from the many visits from the vet, but this little cuddle buddy defiantly brought her some comfort when I had to go to work for the day. I just popped it in the microwave for 30 seconds and she was as happy as a kitty could be. She would even move it around the room when she changed her sleeping locations throughout the day. <3

This little Cuddle Pal is perfect for my cats.
I originally bought it for my new kitten. Turns out all the others seem to like it as well.
He absolutely loves to cuddle with it when he sleeps, warmed up or not.

The only down side is the warming up process in the microwave, 30 seconds seems to be too long for my microwave.

Other than that, it's a wonderful product for my cats.

But when I got my 8 week old, Garrett, he didn't like it at all. He almost seemed to avoid it. I only microwaved it for less than the directed time, and it seemed far too warm. It didn't smell very nice either. Garrett hid it so I won't find it to give it to him again.

I rescued a half pound 5 week old kitten with a upper respiratory infection 6 days ago. She is tiny, can't see (right now while snotty and sick) and has to stay warm. She loves this little buddy toy! I microwaved it 6 different times yesterday and each time she hunkered down on it, melted into a puddle then hugged it while she slept. I also put it under her while she cuddles on my shoulder or lap.

This is for babies! not grown secure cats. I am so pleased with how it doesn't have a scent, 30 seconds in the microwave is purrfect for my baby

Pros: perfect temperature, flat for cuddling, no odor, for little kittens

Cons: none for us

I bought this when I adopted my 8 week old kitten from the SPCA. She was very little and I was concerned about keeping her warm. I removed the buckwheat pouch, and warmed it in the microwave. The pouch was singed on the corner, and it smelled horrible. I put the pouch into the toy and it felt warm, and I put it in my kittens bed. She would not go near it. Later I removed the pouch and put the toy on the floor, thinking my cat might play with it or snuggle on it; she avoided it entirely, as did my other adult cat. Now it is in the cat toy box, unused. I will likely have to toss it in the trash.
I would recommend this only to someone with a kitten or litter of kittens that are under 6 weeks, as a safe alternative to a heating pad.

Pros: provides warmth safe for small kittens

Cons: 8 week old kitten hated it., buckweat pouch burned too easily in microwave., cats don't like it., cats won't go near it., is sitting in cat toy box; useless.

We bought this for our 4 month old cat. She is just not interested in it, she does not cuddle with it when it’s warm and she does not even play with it. She looks like if she is afraid of it. I find it’s a good quality toy and I like that you can wash the exterior of the toy. I will still recommend it to others, but I think it’s not for all cats.

We bought the kitty cuddle pal toy for our six-week old kitten, Poof. (We rescued the kitten who had been left behind by his mom at around three weeks.) Pop the pal into the microwave and nuke it on high for 30 seconds - perfectly toasty but not too hot, and the scent is relaxing but not overwhelming. Tuck it into the corner of kitty's bed - in our case, it was like a magnet! Poof jumped right in bed and immediately cuddled up with his new pal. He's even started dragging the pal around the house and just lounging on him. At this rate, I'm sure they'll be best friends for life!

Pros: machine washable (just remove buckwheat pouch), soft and cuddly; great size for a kitten, well-made
