This book is a must before you buy a hermit crab. Forums are slap full of people that bought their crab before they knew really anything about them, and are then asking why they died. Reading this book before you buy your pet or any supplies can prevent you from killing off your little guy. Despite the "For Dummies" in the title, it is very informative. It is written in a clear concise fashion that makes it a quick read as well. Most crab owners I know first bought the kits sold most places, got everything home, and realized they had several things they did not need, and were missing several things they did. This book can save you from the pointless purchases, as well as a few trips back to the store. You can know what to expect from these quirky little pets from day one.

I read this book from the front cover to the back cover and I was really surprised at what I learned! It's got a lot of information, and pretty detailed, but it's not the kind of informational book that bores you. The book is about 80 pages and has pictures too. I'm really glad I bought this book!

This book is full of fantastic information about hermit crabs. The information is clear, specific info is easy to find and accessible and there are lots of pictures and diagrams to help with the key points of the book. I'm a big fan of the ...For Dummies books because they think of everything and answer just about every question anyone could think of. I wish they had one for bearded dragons because I'm adopting two at the end of the month and the other books are just not anywhere near as good.
