I bought this aquarium for my college dorm, and it seemed to be serving its purpose well. Today (a week after purchasing it) I was in the living room and heard something crash. I found that the bottom of my bowl had fallen out around the base and shattered all over my dresser. Thankfully I was there and able to save my betta, but I was furious that it had broken. Took me over an hour to clean up all the water, glass, and rocks. I will not buy this again and risk my fish actually dying this time.
Cons: hard to clean, flimsy

Overall this product is pretty good! I would recommend for beginners! No set up needed! I at one point had 2 goldfish, then another I had 2 female bettas! Great, A little over-priced but good!
Pros: easy to install, easy to clean

I bought this tank very recently for my one and only goldfish, mostly because it would give her more room to swim and because the style of the bowl fit in perfectly with my room. I did not fill the bowl to the top with water, nor did I use many rocks. However, 3 hours after cleaning and putting my fish in the tank, I came home and realized that it had cracked all around the bottom near the top of the stem where it connects to the bowl, leaving the water to slowly seep out. I returned it the next day for an identical tank thinking the one I bought just had weak glass, but the new one did the exact same thing. Obviously, these tanks were not made to hold much water, or any rocks for that matter. I do not recommend this tank based on overall quality of the product. The $19.99 I spent on it could have definitely been spent on something much more sturdy.
Pros: easy to install, easy to clean

My blue betta loves it

I bought this bowl two weeks ago when I had my first betta and live plant for the first week but it died somehow probably lack or heat or he was sick already. Then I "blamed the bowl" for not keeping a good temperature since is glass. Then I tried for the second time with another betta but this time I equipped the bowl with a temp., ph, and ammonia level kit in the back of the bowl behind the live plant so it does not interrupt the beauty of the bowl. And I added a small ornament for the fish to hide, but nevermind cause the fish is hyper. I recently changed the water after a week and he moves excited all around.
Cleaning is not hard. I remove 70% of the water, the plant, the ornament, the kit, and the gravel before moving out the fish (I catch it with the small cup that the fish came with. Water pressure automatically pulls the fish to it, so no harm with the fish net.) I only use the fish net to catch any excess of dirt or left overs every other day.
The brandy style bowl is a great addition to my living room. It is stylish, but because it has that thin neck feature it is easier for the bowl to get colder (think about wine glass purpose) I keep my room between 76 - 80 degrees and should and it is equal to the bowl temp.

This goes under the quote, "What you see if what you get." It serves it purpose as a fish bowl perfectly. I reccomend that this ONLY be used on Bettas for it's size and appearance. If it were another breed, an air pump, filter, heater, etc. would have to be added--ruining this statement piece.
It's a bit difficult to clean, it really depends on the size of your size. My Betta is happy, it's nice and roomy.

My betta fish loves this bowl. i love the style and its very roomy!
but i do think its a bit over priced. plus if you ever want a bowl heater or filter this design really wont work.
Pros: roomy, great style, bettas will love it
Cons: over priced, not good for heaters or filters

this bowl would be nice if it came with a lid. fish like bettas and gold fish can and will jump. if you just filled it up half way, i guess it would be OK. plus it is overpriced. for under $10 I bought my betta a one gallon glass jar WITH A LID!
