my pups a very sloppy eater who always drops his food, this mat makes clean up much easier because of its raised edges.

I have a messy baby boy that loves to play with his cat food when it falls out of his bowl so this tray is great because the edges are steep and deep enough that he cannot get the food out of the tray to bat it all across the kitchen floor. perfect size for a food and water bowl for cat or small dog. I highly recommend if you have an animal that thinks their food is a toy.

I use it for my chihuahua's bowl because we have hardwood and he tends to get water on the floor sometimes. Since that ruins hardwood we went to look for a place mat. It was cute, so we bought it along with some new bowls. It was great. After a couple of weeks later it got crusty around where the bowls were. So I washed it. Now I still have it but I clean it every two weeks.

This is by far the best pet placemat and all because it has raised edges that make sure no food or water finds itself to the floor. It's also VERY sturdy (more like a tray than a placemat - good thing!) and super easy to clean. I highly recommend it over any other!

Our dog is a sloppy drinker so we got one of these placemats years ago. Now we ordered a second to interchange between cleanings in the dishwasher. (I stopped washing dishes by hand last year - bummer.) The 1 inch sunken tray allows us to pick up the placemat without spilling water. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because it is about 1 1/2 inch short in width to easily fit two large bowls. We kaddy-korner the bowls a bit with one bowl a little tilted, but it does not create a spill hazard. I would recommend this product to a friend.
