This stand arrived quickly (thanks Petsmart!) and I was excited to put it together right away, but was also a little nervous because I have never assembled something this large before. Luckily, it wasn't that bad! It took me about an hour and I really ran into no major problems. The end result is fantastic -- better than I expected. Very sturdy and attractive and it has a lot of storage space. Great purchase!

it looks nice, but assembly is quite cumbersome

I picked this stand based on nice reviews. However, it took me a day to assemble it right and I had to call technical support. The wood veneer chips easily during assembly, and at the end it felt quite flimsy when I finally got it together. It took a huge effort to make doors to fit and close properly, and the backing cannot be nailed to the legs of the stand. The legs are too dense to get the nails in.
The final product looks nice and holds my 20 gallon tank without problems so far.

Cabinet door troubles

The cabinet doors did not mount properly to the stand using the pre-drilled holes which were too low for either door. Following the instructions, I adjusted the screws upward, creating new holes, but those collapsed into the bottom holes. Now I cannot mount the doors at all unless I re-mount the hinges to the door panels in a different spot, which I am not strong enough to do without a drill (which I don't own, and the instructions warn against using on the cheap wood/mdf).

Other than that, it seems alright. Also, you should anchor the stand to the wall, but there is no anchoring kit included so be prepared to create your own.

The only reason why I downgraded this from a 5 is because although it states it fits a 20 gallon tank... It did not fit mine, it was 2 inches not wide enough! I ended up using it for my 10 gallon though... It was fairly easy to put together and I like the look of it!

The stand looks great! But one of the doors won't close all the way but no big deal. Also it wobbles a bit but it is still pretty sturdy.I know my dad NEVER wants to put this stand together ever again. It took him nearly two hours and it was a pain to put together. Still it looks great and me and my dad are very happy with the results. And it was a great price! I recomend this to anyone but it takes a bit of work!

Pros: looks beauitifull, supports my fish tank

Cons: wobbles a bit, 1 door won't close all the way

I bought this stand because I liked the look a lot. Right now I have a 2.5 gallon and a 4 gallon next to each other on this stand. I also bought this tank because I can always have the option to get a bigger tank.
The amount of storage is great! The cabinets are really deep and hold a lot of supplies! I also put a basket at the bottom (like the picture) for even more storage.
*As far as Ease of Assembly goes, I wouldn't know because I bought the sample straight from the store. I only put it as 4 stars because I wouldn't know. So, it could be 5* for all I know!
Finally, the wood is very smooth and seems like it's really great quality. The black is very sleek and the stand just looks great. All I had to do was use some
I would definitely recomend to anyone!

Nice for the price

I just finished putting this together, it took me nearly 3hrs and like the previous reviewer, I also put a shelf in upside down (prior to reading that review ;) ). The divider in the middle of the cabinet arrived with a chip in the front, it is not a big enough issue for me to bother with sending it back, but still. Also, I can see where the pieces were touched-up on some of the edges, the paint or whatever it is wiped off when I wiped it with a damp towel when I finished. Again, not that big of a deal, you would never know once it is assembled. In the end, it is a nice looking piece and for the price it can't be beat.

Pros: best looking small aquarium stand i found, great price

Cons: directions for assembly are not that great

It took awhile to put together but it looks so much nicer then the picture on the box. When putting together make sure your read the directions carfully. I ended up putting 1 shelf on the wrong side and had to take it apart and correct this. I also used the wrong screw on the top so it did not fit right. I finally was able to put the whole thing together right. The box has a custormer service # if you run into problems or are missing parts. Over all it looks like a nice peice of furniture to show case your tank and has a modern look with the stainless steel type handles, It has plenty of storage inside to put aquarium supplies. I have a 20 gal. High tank 24 1/4" x 12 1/2" x 16 3/4" and it fits perfectly. If you have a 20 gal. long it might not fit so make sure you have your tanks measurements handy before buying this stand.

Pros: nice looking good price

Cons: takes time to put together
