I have 4 dogs and they all love this food 3 of my dogs only ate house food for years couldn't get them to eat dog food two stubborn pugs and a Pekingese mix refuse to eat anything but was cooked at home my vet recommend for their health to switch to dog food and actually recommended chef Michael's and the rest is history they love this so much they recognize the cans a mile away and come running to eat and leave the bowls empty.

I have to agree with alot of the posts regarding the ingredients for the price of the can but I have to say that my chihuahua 3 pounds loves it. I have tried dozens of different types of canned food, dry food, raw etc Even Cesar she didn't care for much like this one. The vet gave me Prescription Diet a/d and she still likes Chef Michaels better. She has been to 4 vets. So im doing my own experiments. She is only 10 months old and has sinus, dry eye, crusty tips on ears, crusty toenails, had crusts on back and lost hair (very bald) healing and hair growing back with my treatments. No Ivermectin. dry nose/wet nose. A glands trouble. She didn't want to eat anything for me but with Chef Michaels she keeps licking the dish. So as long as she is eating and liking it thats whats up. She doesn't like any holistic pet food.

I have to say when Purina made this product they out did them selves my dog loves it. She just turned a year old, and i have had her on this stuff along with Cesar since she has been a puppy. She actually eats more of this stuff then any other can food. I like the portion size because its small enough that i can feed her a meal and i don't have to worry about having to worry about putting it in the refrigerator. She is a 9 lb Papillon so its no like she needs the amount of other dogs. Since she has been on this her coat has been really soft. She is excited about meal time when ever she shes this can. She gets Chef michaels mixed in with dry food and it could be the worst tasting dry food she won't care as long as she has Chef Michaels. I am 18 years old and the cost of the food doesn't bother me if my dog likes it i will buy it. I do think the cost is a little overpiced though. I would still recommend buying this food though

My 2 dogs really like Chef Michael but at 89 cents a can it cost me over $3.50 a day to feed them 2 cans each. If they eliminated the plastic can covers maybe they could reduce the cost and pass that on to the consumer. The cans are so small you don't need a cover anyway. Petsmart did have these on sale for 60 cents a can and that was great!! Please do it again so I can stock up.
Pros: comes in pate and chunks
Cons: cost per serving

My husband and I were having issues with our puppies eating habits. She would refuse to eat in one sitting, and would rather just slowly pick at her food all day. This would be fine if my husband or I were home all day, but we have to work, and she can only eat when we schedule out time to feed her. In order to help her start eating in one sitting I tried several other dog foods before this one, and none of them worked. However, from the first time I ever put Chef Michaels in her food, she was hooked! She eats everything in the bowl and then continues to lick the empty bowl! I would definetely recommend this to anyone else who have picky eater dogs!
Pros: many different flavors, obviously good taste
Cons: price

My bichon is a very picky eater. She eats Chef Michaels foods right away instead of leaving it out for hours as she did for Mighty Dog products.

Chef Michael's dog food contains wheat gluten and meat by-products, two ingredients you never ever want to see in dog food.
Its also very expensive, even more expensive than high-quality dog foods.
The only good thing is the taste. I'm sure Cody would love to recieve a can of this stuff every day. But then, its the same way with almost all canned dog food.
Pros: tastes good
Cons: expensive, poor quality ingredients, fillers

The ingredients in this food scare me... so do the ingredients in most commercial diets. Meat and by-products from unknown sources? That's not good.
Cons: full of by-products and meats from unknown sources, corn, bad for teeth

we have a westie and we have tried everything from hard to soft food. this is the only food that we could actually get her to eat. we are very pleased that shadow thinks that this is people food and she actually eats the hard food and the can food. we mix it and she is very pleased. i will give it a month and we will see if she is still eating it. i hope we have found a winner. thank you chef michaels

LEFT ME USING PACKAGED FOR A WHILE. I SAW THIS AND DECIDED TO TRY IT. SHE LOVES IT. I PREFER THE MORE HOLISTIC AND PURE BRANDS BUT SHE DOESNT. IF SHE WONT EAT IT, WHAT GOOD IS IT? AND I REALLY DONT CARE FOR ANY OF THE 'BIG' COMPANY PRODUCTS, I.E. PURINA, ETC. BUT.................GINGER DID.

I usually feed my dog little Cesar's, but saw this on sale for .50 which is half what it will be once it is reg. price. I thought it would be worth trying at this price, because the serving size was more appealing than the Cesar's. I usually have to refriderate half the Cesar's. My Rat Terrier ate the food readily and the serving size was just right, but once this item goes up to the normal price range it will be too high for the portion you get.

This stuff looks like Alpo and smells BAD. I thought it would be really good because it's fancy and expensive, but my dog likes his other food better. I'm disappointed.
