I rate this litter 5 stars plus!!! I have 14 cats (I have rescued them all)in my house. When people come over, they cannot believe I have 14 house cats. There is no smell!! I scoop dailey, the litter clumps great and the cats seems to love it. I use the unscented only. The only problem I have is the cats love to dig and I end up sometimes with more litter on the outside of the box than on the inside. That is not the problem of Arm and Hammer though. I also have one cat who rolls in the litter when I add fresh to the box.
Pros: clumps keeps smell away!!!
Cons: it isn't free....lol, i would like to have some coupons once in awhile.

Although I can't complain about the effectiveness of Super Scoop in the litter box, I am disappointed in the fact that a scent free litter now has a smell. If I remember correctly it used to be truly scentless but now my nose runs each time one of my cats starts to dig. Why the change? Isn't that false advertising? Hope you can return to the previous formula. I would really like to stay with this product.

I bought this for my new kitten to mask the litter smell. I clean her litter box twice a day but I hate how this litter smells up the whole room, it is not pleasant and it also makes the cat smell. I won't be buying this litter again but I will definitely consider the fragrance free Arm & Hammer litter because besides the terrible fragrance I do like the litter for its clumping quality.

Just adopted my first kitten so I don't know anything about kitty litter. But I sure know that it shouldn't smell like that. I know people who own cats and the smell coming from the litter box is awful. I hate the smell of animal when you walk into a house and I've had a dog for 6 years. I scoop it out everyday and it still smells. Sometimes the clumps are so small that they just fall through the scooper. Plus it's very dusty. I've already used 3 quarters of the box and it's only been 3 days. Seems like alot of money for something that doesn't work very well. Extremely let down.

This is by far the worst litter I have ever purchased. We usually empty our cats litter box once a week and scoop about half way through the week. With Arm and Hammer we had to empty half way through the week and we only have one cat! The smell was awful and I felt so bad for our kitten. For the price of Arm and Hammer I was expecting a lot more and will never purchase again.

Dont keep the litter box in the bathroom

I have been using Arms n Hammer for 1.5 years without any problem(Bit expensive though). But when we changed apartments I shifted the litter box to the bathroom. Previously it was in the study.
Then all the problems started. I am used to clean the box in the morning after everybody has finished using the bathroom. At that point the bathroom is very very humid and the litter absorbs water, becomes a gooey mash. These unstable big clumps break when I try to scoop them and it is a total mess.
I have tried to clean the box in the evenings when the bathroom is dry but still the litter is wet and clumped.

So my advice is if you use this litter keep the box in a very dry place. Definitely not the bathroom.

I honestly hated this litter. I had just adopted a new kitten and decided to get arm and hammer duel action because it was all hyped up on the commercials.... NO. It made my room smell awful. And it wasn't the fact that I don't clean it.. I clean my litter box completely weekly and the SECOND my cat uses it I clean it out. It smelled so strongly of ammonia (which is what urine also smells like obviously) and living in an apartment with 3 other girls that definitely did not fly well. They complained constantly about the smell and they just did not understand that it was NOT the fact that its dirty! I even would put the feces & urine in bags and place them outside. I was just not pleased with this product AT ALL. Very disappointed

Cons: bad odor, ineffective, very dusty

I have tried every litter possible, and I had a coupon for this one and figured I'd give it a try...NEVER AGAIN!!
It shouldn't even be called a clumpng litter, I guess it does...just into millions of little clumps. The dust it produces, is horrible, my cats both come out of the box sneezing and coughing, and I need a mask just to scoop it out daily. Now I have had it for 3 days, and already have to go buy another to replace it!

I recently adopted a kitten from the shelter and let me tell you she lays some pretty stinky poos .. i keep litter box in my personal bathrrom thats connected to my room so i needed something that would block the odor.. let me tell you it definitly had that fresh scent .. my whole room smelled like it! it was overwhelimg .. and the clumping was horrible everytime it went to scoop it it would break away in pieces and would stick to the bottom of the pan! I had to change the litter every other day which is pretty expensive .
Pros: covers smell
Cons: bad clumping, overwhelming "fresh scent"

I've had my adopted 4 year old Tabby male for two weeks now and I'm not too impressed with this litter. Since my cat is a very large male he makes a lot of waste and this doesn't help cover the odor and he even has a covered litter box! This does OK clumping, it clumps too well on liquids so every time I scoop, I end up taking out a huge amount of litter since the whole thing clumps into one giant mess. So instead of just making a small, easy to scoop clump--it just cements to the bottom of the box. This is not the worst litter I've used, so I'm gving it a 3 star (average), but I have heard of better so I'm going to try a different Arm and Hammer type litter. I'm sure this would work on smaller cats, but this just isn't up to par with my big boy's messes.
Pros: price, does clump, added baking soda
Cons: cements on bottom of box, makes large messy clumps, doesn't block odor

It does it's job, but i just couldn't stand the scent. whenever kitty would use the box you could smell the "fresh scent" and it was just so overwhelming! i couldn't take it anymore, so i just went back to the non-fragrance A&H again.

I have 5 cats and use the A & H super scoop and it does the trick. The litter box is in the basement & I change it twice a week and it controls the smell for the most part (would be better if I cleaned the litter in between changes). I would buy it by the pallet if I could.

After years of using an off brand I caved and bought Arm and Hammer. It was amazing!! No smell of cat oders, not even while I clean. Low dust. I'm sold and my boys are very happy with it.

I have been using this for about 3 years, make sure to get the unscented, the fresh scent smells awful. I live in a small apartment with 2 cats and there has been only one time that my landlady has said anything to me about the smell from the apartment and that was when Petsmart was out of the unscented and I got the fresh scent. made me want to gag just pouring it out, I felt really bad for my poor cats who had to put up with it that month.
I would never use another litter.

I had been using Cat Attract, but I figured I would pick up some of this stuff because it was cheaper. When I started pouring the litter it smelled fresh, so I assumed that it would really kill the odor. I was definitely wrong. Since using this litter I smell cat urine as soon as I walk in the house. I even caught my boy cat peeing on his bed! This is the first time he has ever used outside of this litter box since he first came to our home.
The one positive thing I can say about this product is that it is cheap and clumps. That's all.

I have 2 cats & only use arm & hammer. I think it is great. I have tried other brands, top of the line, and they don't work as well. It does cover up the smell. You just have to clean it out everyday.

I've tried less expensive cat litters but I always go back to this one. It clumps the best and controls odors the best. My cats seem to like it the best, too.

Bought two boxes since it was on sale and thought I could not go wrong with Arm & Hammer ~ I was sooo wrong.
Horrible smell on its own, then absolute no odor control when cats got in it! Was not the cat waste smell, but the actual litter. Nauseated me and Hubby. Couldn't stand it any longer and went out and bought what I normally buy. Save your money even though its on sale, or come by my house and I'll give you unused box.

I have found this litter to be favored by my cat. The clumping makes it much easier to scoop out the products of elimination and keeps down the odors of same.
PS: I don't think it would be wise to submit a photo of my pet using this product. I don't think he would enjoy this invasion of his privacy, ha, ha.
