AT first I wasn't sure about feeding my Betta flakes. He was used to pellets. He took to this food right away! He even seems to prefer it over the pellets of other brands. You really get a lot of food in each container and the price is better than other Betta foods. I would recommend this to anyone with a Betta who would like a change from the standard pellets.

My betta , phoebe, tried to eat it. She would eat it then spit it out and chase it around the tank. Then when it sinks to the bottom it makes a huge mess. It smells extremely fresh, though.

I have two betta fish. One at home and one at work. I just purchased the fish for work about a week ago and was feeding him betta bites. He did not seem to take to it and would not eat it all or swallow it and spit it back out. I looked at other reviews for the flakes and decided to try them. I put in the bowl and my fish instantly swam to the top and ate the flakes in seconds. He loves it!!!! Would highly recommend for a picky eater.

I use these flakes along with Omega One Betta Buffet Pellets for my fish. Comet loves it when it's flake day! I did notice that some of the flakes are a bit large for bettas, but they are very thin and easy to break up. Since my fish has a digestion problem and can't handle dry pellets (I have to soak them first) it's wonderful to have a flake food that is easy to feed right out of the jar. I definately recommend this product.

when i feed my betta these flakes he snatches these flakes and tears them! my betta gets good color with these and gets happier!
they barely sink into my rocks i have for my crowntail betta home. i would really recommend these flakes for any betta.

My betta immediately took to these flakes! It does seem as if these have made him much more active and happy, and with just a pinch, he has not experienced any constipation like he has with other brands of flakes. He loves these so much that he will circle his whole aquarium for 30 minutes just to make sure he didn't miss any food :) I would highly recommend this product.

Unlike a lot of fish food that have "fish meal" or "soy flour" or some other type of filler, Omega One's fish ingredient is whole salmon, then black cod, then krill, rock fish, and shrimp. Which is perfect, because bettas are hunters and carnivores. Since switching to this food a few months ago, my betta Romulus has blossomed into a beautiful red, blue, and purple crowntail. The results were almost immediate when it came to color and behavior.

This product has amazing ingredients and my betta dances for food when she knows its food time. She would kind of eat other foods but her health and colors and behavior are so much better since she started this diet. It is about double the price of other betta foods but one container lasts a year so the extra cost is worth it. i did all sorts of research and this is one of the three most highly recommended tropical fish foods.

I bought this for my betta, and he liked it somewhat, but preffered the pellets I gave him. My brother's betta absolutely LOVED these flakes, and hated the pellets. So I guess it depends on what kind of fish you have. I tried feeding them to my zebra danios this morning after my brother's betta died. :( The zebra danios gobbled them up! They are color enhancing and nutritious for bettas, and I guess for other fish too.

I started feeding my Bettas this food when my first Betta got constipated (distended abdomen, but NOT dropsy or anything like that). I had figured out that the floating pellets he had always eaten were expanding in his tummy. After treating him with some mushy cooked peas (which took care of the problem!), I decided to try these flakes for him. He LOVED them! So I switched exclusively to this food for all my Bettas. They all immediately went for the flakes and left the pellets alone. They get so excited at feeding time and swim back and forth as I get the jar of food. The flakes smell very much like Salmon, and not like mold or old algae or anything. It doesn't get all "fuzzy" if it ends up on the bottom of the tank for a while. And my Bettas' colors have all really intensified since being on this food! Definitely a winner for my Bettas!

Pros: fish like the taste, intensifies fish colors
