Here's the thing, this is made for wild squirrels that you feed in your backyard, not for squirrels you have adopted, wild squirrels get plenty of nuts on their own and this is just an extra source of energy/supplement for the wild squirrels. If you want to feed your squirrels nuts, buy some in the shell from the store. It's not that hard. they even say it's for backyard squirrels, it is not common for people to have pet squirrels so there won't always be a formulated feed for them, you have to make their diet, and MAKE SURE to give them plenty of calcium (cuddlebone/bones to chew). I gave this a five star because it's an honest product that displays the ingredients.

This food has too much corn and small seeds and not enough larger nuts... Squirrels prefer nuts and berries they need the nuts like pecans , peanuts, , walnuts, and or acorns in the shells to strengthen and sharpen their teeth.. Corn is not good for them... So here I have a baby squirrel I rescued and have gotten him to the point where he can eat and have wasted my money on a food that is of poor quality and consistency ...I will not purchase this product again but will search somewhere else for a better quality of food with a better ratio of nuts to seeds and NO CORN.
