I have a 3lb, 11 month old chihuahua who just didn't understand that you can not chew on everything you see...OMG, it's like having a toddler in the house and with 2 teenagers in the house, who as you know do not pay attention to anything other than their electronics it is hard....all i ever heard was "look what she did to my shoes/sneakers....guess they should have been paying attention...lol...i bought this to see if i could get her to stop since putting her in time out didn't work and YES she now only chews on this...she absolutely loves it and the chicken flavor is a bonus...she sits for hours on end and carries it around the house...it has become her best friend and i have stopped hearing look what she did to my shoes/sneakers...i have peace at last and a very happy dog...

I got my 5 month old puppy the wolf size and he loves it so much, he ignored me while I was eating pizza! He did chew up one end rather quickly, but I just took some heavy duty scissors and chopped off any bits in danger of being swallowed. Then, he's right back chewing it! This isn't an edible treat, so I recommend keeping an eye on your dog to make sure they aren't chewing off any huge pieces.

Pros: Keeps Pet Entertained, easy to wash

Cons: easily destroyed

I have a 75lbs pitboxer and he destroyed the 8" bone in 2.5hrs. The bone easily broke apart in small to medium chuncks. If your dog is a power chewer like mine, do not get this. You're better off getting the Galileo bone or Nylbone like it.

Pros: Keeps Pet Entertained

Cons: easily destroyed, didn't work

My 4 month old puppy was able to chew through the small end of the largest size in one night. She seems to enjoy the flavour, but avoids the larger textured end even though it is not too big for her mouth, I think the large end is just too heavy for her to balance properly for a comfortable chew...

I bought this product in the hard, non- flexible version for my 13lb Miniature Schnauzer. I bought it in the largest version because it was the only one of the sizes that had some texture to it. (she only chews on hard textured items). She was able to fit most of her mouth around the end (Mini Schnauzer usually can open their mouths wide), but the problem was that the bone was too tall for her to be able to stand it up to chew on it properly.

If they would make all the sizes with textured ends she would be able to get one that was short enough. She seemed very interested in it, even tried to chew it while it was flat on the ground, which is odd because she normally won't even touch a hard nylon chew, since they usually don't have textured ends, and she won't chew on rubber toys.

It does concern me that my little dog could get her mouth around most of a large chew, imagine how much a big dog could. They should also make the ends bigger on all the sizes. Despite the cons, I still think it was a very good product. I think that this product is great for other peoples' dogs, just not for mine. Nylabone and Kong chews are great as far as safty goes.

Pros: seems strong good quality brand, one of omly a few hard chews my dog has ever been, chicken flaver is a big pluse

Cons: end size too small for some dogs, only largest size offers textured ends

This product is absolutely fabulous! I have two dogs (a Boxer and a Boston Terrier) and they love their Nylabones. Unlike other reviews, my dogs never get tired of these bones. They love all sizes and all flavors.

Initially, they seem a bit pricy but they are well worth it. My Boxer is currently spending his time on the Wolf size chicken flavor, has had it for over a month and barely put a dent on one end. Well worth the money!

My sisters dog who never chews on anything also loves these bones.

Quit wasting your money and buy Nylabone!

For agressive chewers, yes this product will not get completely destroyed quickly. But there is a reason why. Once the nylabone loses the flavor, the dog loses interest. Lastly, extreme caution is a must, because tiny pieces/threads can break/flake off.

I gave this product to my Italian Greyhound thinking it would be good for his teeth. He ended up finishing the bone relatively fast and about 10 minutes later was throwing up the plastic like pieces of the nylabone-very disgusting and EXTREMELY smelly. I thought it might be from something he ate outside-my dog LOVES to eat flowers, leaves.He's basically a vegan dog eating any green thing he can get in his mouth. So I experimented, giving him the bone and preventing him from eating anything outside. I ended up with the same result. Never giving this nasty thing to my dog ever again and I don't recommend it for any dog owner.

Cons: doesn't settle with stomach!
