"My dog is a very tough chewer, very smart, and gets bored easily, so we got her this toy to keep her interested. Most of the time, it works! We stuff it with peanut butter and treats and she spends hours on and off working to get everything out. The only problems I've noticed is that it's a little hard to clean (I've heard different things about sticking it in the dishwasher), and that she needs to switch toys every day in order to still be interested in this one. Overall, though, I'm glad we bought this!"

Pros: longlasting entertainment, black one is most durable, saves you more money in the long run, recommended by vets worldwide
"I have two Boxers and they are HUGE chewers. I swear their sire was a goat! Went out and bought them each one. By far this is their favorite toy. It's the only toy that has lasted. After they have their playtime outside they come in and that is the first thing they grab. Hours of entertainment for them and us. We laugh at the way they go crazy for the treat inside. As far as cleaning, I haven't had a problem. My two have extremely long tongues and they lick the inside clean. Kongs are quite pricey, but oh so worth it. They outlasted any toy that I have bought, and my two have went through some toys that have cost me more in the long run. I would say buy it and you won't be disappointed."

"I was skeptical about spending so much on a toy, since I've bought others for strong chewers only to have them in bits on the floor in a couple of hours, but I have to say that I am totally amazed! My adult pitbull is sweet and gentle until you give him a toy, at which time he goes into destroy mode...he has this determinded look on his face as he chomps away on the Kong for hours to no avail. Even my pit puppy's sharp little teeth haven't left so much as a mark on this thing. It was definitely worth the investment since I used to have to replace cheaper toys every week."

"This is one of the only toys my 2 year old lab hasn't chewed through. He has had it for almost a year and still hasn't been able to destroy it. It definitely has lots of teeth marks in it, but is holding up quite well. We do not buy the Kong fillers because of the price but we put regular dog treats in it. It is great entertainment for us and the dog. Its great for when you need to leave the house and are afraid of a bored puppy at home. Just put in a treat and he will have something to do for quite awhile."

For an Incredible Chewer- This Withstands!,

"I've had so many horrific experiences with other Kong products that I have purchased. My Aussie Mix pup could go through other Kong products like they were bubbles. I feared purchasing any other Kong products but I figured I'd try one last time- especially since my dogs in the past loved this particular product.
So I bought this one- because she's an extremely powerful chewer. Not only is this the only toy (other than nylabones) that she has not yet destroyed- but there are SO many uses for it. She especially loves it when we put regular peanut butter in it and freeze it!
I recommend purchasing two of these- one to have constantly in the freezer w/ pb in it. It keeps my powerful chewer busy for a while!"

Pros: durable, interactive
"Love this toy! My Tibetan Terrier, Chelsea, is a toy killer, but this one lasts and lasts. I fill it with milkbones and peanut butter (my boyfriends calls it a "doggie sundae") and it keeps her completely occupied. Even after the treats are eaten, it becomes a chew toy. I don't have to worry about supervising her, so I can go in the other room, hop in the shower, and get ready for work. Best toy I ever bought."

"My American Pit is an extreme chewer. When we first rescued her, we bought her a bunch of toys. Those toys lasted a day, two at the most. After researching the Kong and it's advantages, I decided to get it for my Pit. Man did she love it!! After stuffing it with toys, it became a treat. I now use it for training and housebreaking and it has been very effective. She didn't like it at first, I think the strong rubber odor turned her away from it, but after her first licking of it, she has no problems with it. It has also lasted a long time. We have owned it for 2.5 weeks now and it's still in tact :) I will continue to buy Kong products for my Pit"

"I have 2 golden retrievers a boy and a girl. The girl is an extreme chewer in fact they have no toys left because they have all been destroyed. The two of them love the KONG with the peanut butter filling, but the girl has gone through about 4 of these extreme kongs and 2 of the regular Kongs. The boy is still on his first Kong but this product is not good for strong chewers like my girl. I wouldn't recommend this for any large breed dog that chews everything up. I also have the everlasting treat ball and this works a lot better than the Kong I would recommend this to any strong chewer owners since both my dogs are still on their first ones and the refills are fairly cheap."

"My aussie can chew up anything. He chewed the base boards in the living room, the kitchen cabinets, even tore out tiles in the kitchen. He chewed up three beds and an endless amount of toys. However, this Kong has lasted three months and he has not even made any dents in it. He loves it, especially when it is filled with treats. This is the only toy to make it past a week. If your dog chews, this is the toy for him."

"I have a one year old American Pit Bull Terrier. This was one of the first toys that we bought him and it took a while for him to warm up to the toy. Actually, he hardly played with it for several months. I think this is because of the strong smell. It might have also been because I bought the large when he was a puppy because I knew he would grow into it, and it would last a long time. After a while of it being in the house, I picked it up and played with it for a couple of minutes and now the dog loves it! He just needed to be reintroduced to it. Wonderful toy and a must for the arsenal. Just don't give up if your pup doesn't play with it at first. We also recently got the Kong ball. It is one of his favorite toys as well now. He chews on both of them until he has a puddle of drool on the toys and his paws. The only downside is that they are ALMOST indestructible. I am getting ready to buy another one because he is strong enough to take chunks out of his extreme Kong now after working on it for a while.
Will definitely buy this toy over and over again. Luckily it lasts a really long time so I won't have to buy that many."

How disappointing!,

"My husband and I have a 6 month old terrier that could chew through the Great Wall. We got her this in hopes that we wouldn't wake up finding pieces of stuffing from her toys everywhere. She showed no interest in it at all. She turned her nose up to the treat, and was actually scared of the toy itself. We tried everything and nothing worked. My husband pointed out to me after we tossed it back and forth for awhile that it had a very strong, unpleasant rubbery smell. No wonder the dog doesn't like it! Very disappointed, I'll be giving this to my dad's dogs for Christmas. Hopefully they'll like it."
