A dark, hollowed out tree is an excellent way for shy fish to find shelter. This ornament adds a lot of character too!

After reading all reviews and looking at the pictures of this product , It is still a mystery to me how everyone managed to keep this item at the bottom of aquarium?! It won't sink - just floats! I had to literally tie it up to another piece of decor using plastic ties to keep it at the bottom. Is it just me or people simply keep their secret ?!?!!?
Other than that , this ornament is good quality and looks very realistic.
So, for future buyers - think about attaching a weight to it or buy a plactic ties right away.

I recently added 3 blood red parrot cichlids into my tank and they naturally love to have hiding spots and this is perfect. All three of them are usually crammed up inside there and have plenty of room as well.

I was looking for something natural looking and had multiple entry/exists for my fish. I picked this up and put it back a couple of times. I finally felt this would work in my new tank. There are small areas of "algae" through out it and it looks great in the tank. There is a small hole on the bottom that allows smaller fish to enter.
I recommend this for those looking for a good place for fish to rest or hide.

Great piece

This has held up great in my tank over the past five years. I have had it situated vertically and horizontally and currently have some of the holes filled with anubias and java fern which make it look more realistic. Shy bottom feeders will love this ornament.

Decorative log

My parrot chiclid loves it! I've had this for over two years now and it hasn't even chipped or cracked. It looks like real wood. I love the fact that it has several holes in it, making it easy for my large parrot chichlid to monuvere in and out of it with ease. It makes my tank look natural. I love it and would recomend buying it. Its a great price too, considering its size and also considering that that orniments are expensive as is.

i bought this for my african brown knife and he loves it. he sleeps in it all day and once its dark enough for him to come out he pokes his head out and goes to play with his freinds.

my fish love this log, they swim through it and hide, this is great for catfish species, plecos, and loaches, i love how it looks in my tank, the only con for me is the price

i bought it a couple days ago and its doing its job, the only thing is that some algae appeared to already be on it at the store. under the bright light it looked an awful lot like paint or something. i guess i will just have to give them the benefit of the doubt and say it probably was introduced after it was put in my tank. it looks great and makes my tank look very realistic.

I have an red tail shark which is about 4-5 in. long andd this is the only place that he will hide. When I first bought the shark he had 2 others to "play" with but mostly claimed the log as his. I have had it for a year in december and it stil looks new besides some algee.

Great Hiding Place

Toothless the axolotl loves hanging out in it. It's the perfect hiding spot when he needs a break from my other axolotl. I've had it for about two months now, and the color hasn't faded.

The wood looks real, the price is resonable, and i dropped it once and it didn't even crack or chip. Also my shrimp love it!!!!

my fish love this! i have 5 red wag platies, 3 black mollies, 3 guppies, and a bristle nose pleco, they all love and swim through this. i love how real it looks and with my live plants all around it it looks awesome!! im going to be getting a second one for the other side of my tank!

When buying decor to set up my new 29 gallon aquarium last week, I knew I needed something near driftwood for the type of fish I would eventually be putting in the tank. My boyfriend picked this one out, at first I was against it because it just looked ugly to me. After weighing the options and cost, we went ahead with this piece of decor.
I was thrilled when I got it in the tank filled with water and the light on...it lit up to a beautiful dark natural brown color with green specs as if moss was growing on it...Looks amazing now! And my current 3 firemouth cichlids love to hide in it!!!

this is a great peice of work for a natural theme aquarium. my fish love it, my pictus and angelicus botia's are always near it. all my fish seem to stay on its side of the aquarium usually.
