Not great for puppies, November 9, 2009
by husky from Vancouver, BC

"I got this thinking that my husky/german shepherd puppy that's 3 months old would be perfect but he ended up escaping from it twice. I had to return it and got 2 of the extra tall gates instead. If you're getting this for a large breed puppy, think again. You might not make use of this greatly either. Otherwise, it would be perfect for smaller breed and cats."

Perfect for our large doorway, November 2, 2009
by Kooansha from Huntsville, AL

"We have a large doorway into our kitchen in our new house (about 7-8 feet wide). We needed a way to keep our two small dogs contained in there when we aren't home (a Yorkie and a Dachshund). It is working out PERFECTLY! The gate requires NO assembly and is made of very strong materials, so they don't knock it over. It's a little bit taller than a normal baby gate (which is what we used in our previous house), but it has a door with a "lock" on it. It's still short enough that our cats can easily jump over it when they want to (although it took them a couple days before they tested it out!). It's the perfect gate for us!!"

"I have a 21 year old cat who has dimentia. She couldn't remember where anything was and was doing her business all over the house. The vet said she would probably do well contained because she wouldn't forget where she was or get lost in the house. I didn't want to put her in a cage so I decided to remove the table from my breakfast nook. I needed 9 feet of gate to close it off and no one had any that long. If I purchased two, they wouldn't connect. Also, none of them were tall enough for a cat, who even at 21 can leap over a 2 foot gate. I found this product and it's perfect. I was able to block off the breakfast nook by using it as a gate (not a full circle pen) and I can go in and out of the door to clean the litter box, change water, food, etc. It's free standing unlike other gates that require hardware fastened to the dry wall. It even looks nice, unlike some clunky plastic gates. It was a little pricey but VERY worth it, based on it's features compared to everything else I saw. . I'm thrilled to have my cat, Gheebee, happy and safe, but still in a large enough area that she's not overly confined. She seems very content."

Perfect fence for all our needs, August 11, 2009
by Christy58 from Benbrook, TX

Pros: easily set up, easy to reconfigure shape, heavy metal not plastic fence sections
Cons: tightening knobs break easily, not really tall enough for big dogs

"This fence has really come in handy the past year for all kinds of different needs. We bought 2 so that we could use it all around the house because it can be configured so many different ways. Be careful when you put it together. The knobs on top of each section are REALLY easy to break - hubby broke the first one he tightened. We have used these to make a "safe house" for our Golden Retriever when she tore her back leg ligament (our GR is EXTREMELY well trained - if your big dog jumps a lot, this fence may not work for you); it has saved our carpets from our older dog but does not separate us from her because we no longer had to shut doors - we just put the gates with a fence section on each side in place of doors."

Fabulous Pen!, May 26, 2009
by LyssaB from Ontario, Canada

"I highly recommend this pen. I have owned quite a few pens over the years and this one blows the rest away. I was looking for a pen that was attractive as I was using it in the house, and didn't want grey or black. I also wanted vertical bars to avoid any climbing or leg accidents. This pen is heavier than most, but still easy enough to carry. I really love the option of adding more panels, and the walk-through door. The locking mechanism on the door is really easy to use.

Finally, and this is a bit of a warning to those that buy this product, I accidentally broke one of the locking-screw caps at the top (read: be sure to unscrew the cap enough before trying to move the panels). The caps are fabulous as they help hold the shape of the pen so the dog cannot collaspe the pen on top of themselves (which I've had happen with other pens). I wrote the company after breaking the piece, and they replaced it without any hassle or questions - fabulous customer service.

So, all in all, it is an amazing pen. My only complaint is the company does not make taller sizes :) I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this yard to anyone unless they had a really adept jumper / escape artist. Otherwise, this is the best pen out there!"

This product saved my cats life!, May 19, 2009
by petmomof2 from Minneapolis, MN

Pros: multiple uses, sturdy, worth the money, large

"3 months ago my cat, Sunny, got run over by a car. Fortunately, she was not killed but suffered many fractures. I rushed her to the Vet and the veterinarian took care of her. However in order for Sunny to survive she had to be still for 8 weeks to allow the fractures to heal and heavily medicated. I had no idea how I was going to keep my cat still for an entire 2 months! Although she was too weak to even move I know eventually she would try to move around. I ran to PetSmart and found this amazing pet yard. I was able to fit a big blanket, litter box, food and water bowls all in the pet yard. This pet yard even has a walk-through door so every morning I could be in the play yard with her to feed her, change her litter, and give her medication. Now that sunny has made a full recovery, I use this Pet Yard in the garage for my 1 yr. old Lab. This product has many uses and well worth the money, I recommend it to anybody!"

Great Product, January 22, 2009

Super Duper pet yard!, January 11, 2009
by chrsea from TX

"I bought this pet yard to contain my Mal-chi puppy. It was a little pricy for my tastes but when I received it I new why it was a little more expensive then some others I looked at. It is very sturdy and very well made. I was sold on the fact that it only had only vertical bars so that my dog would be unable to climb out of it. I also like the fact that it has a door for easy access. There is very little assembly required which I loved! The only thing I would warn about is if you need to move it around just be careful not to loosen the screws very much. I did and it stared to come apart. It was no big deal though because it is so easy to put back together. This is a great buy."

The best pet yard yet!, December 10, 2008
by Shihmom72 from New York, NY

Pros: very sturdy perfect height, worth the price!
Cons: none

"I was hesitant at first to purchase this pet yard especially since there was only one review regarding this item. I researched different play pens and found that this one was perfect in terms of sturdiness and the height of the product. This convertible pet yard is also by far more attractive than other pens/yards on the market. I purchased this product for my shih tzu puppy. I recommend this product whole heartedly!"

Great, Sturdy Pen, November 27, 2008
by BostonMommy2008 from Newark, DE

Pros: ease of assembly, solid sturdy construction
Cons: pricey...but worth it!

"I was nervous buying this pen without any reviews, but I am glad I did. It is very sturdy, light enough to transport, but heavy enough to keep the dog contained. The solid slats don't give the dog any way to climb out like some other pens. The things I like best are the ease of assembly (just put in the shape you want and turn the top knobs to lock in place) and the door latch (more like a baby gate than a typical crate door). I have a little boston terrier pup in there all day, and he has enough room for his puppy pad, water bowl, and bed. He's been in there for a few days and I haven't had any problems or second thoughts about this pen. I am confident it will last for years to come. You can also buy additional panels to make it bigger."
