I've had my rabbit for 9 months and I started off with timothy hay. It took her 2 months to eat two bags (one was All Living Things and the other was Kaytee)! I thought I'd give this one a shot and hopefully she'll eat more hay since I know how important it is for a rabbit to eat hay.
She immediately started eating more hay. I think she didn't like the timothy hay because of all the hard pieces. I noticed that she ate all the soft ones and removed all the hard ones from the pile. This one is good because it's all soft pieces. I do have one complaint; the bag that I bought (and other bags on the shelf) had mostly short pieces and it was a little dusty.
Other than that, great product!
Pros: smell, taste
Cons: price, dusty

Great Nesting Material for Rats

My rats love to make nests out of this stuff because it is much softer and more flexible than timothy hay. They occasionally eat some, but are generally more interested in making a nest out of it. It's a great, natural, safe bedding material for rats, and it makes them smell nice to boot when they sleep in it.
I purchased this hay for my Syrian hamster and am completely satisfied with it! Although hamsters don't eat hay, they do use it to nest and burrow and this sweet, soft hay is perfect for mine. I put a fresh pile by Whiskers' food dish every week and he never fails to build a comfy nest using hay and bedding in his large sleep house. With the amount that I use, this 15. oz. bag lasts forever and is fresh and sweet for a long time! The price seemed expensive at first but once I saw how long it lasted and how great the quality was I no longer wondered. Overall, I would definitely recommend this product.

My Guinea Pig used to be on an Alfalfa hay diet before I learned that adult Pigs weren't suppose to have Alfalfa because it is very fattening. I then tried Timathy Hay, but she refused to eat it. I did some research and came across this Orchard Grass, read the reviews, and decided to try it. SHE LOVES IT!! I only have two complaints, the price, and that some of the bale it short, messy, chopped up grass. Highly reccomended to anyone with a picky pet!!
My rabbits refused to eat Timothy Hay and they tuck into this with gusto! Also, Timothy hay was so large and poky, I think it hurt my bunnies mouths to eat. (Very small rabbits:) I had allergies to Timothy Hay and so basically this tender, soft, sweet smelling hay is the best!

MY guinea pig loves this product. I was allergic to the Timothy Hay so I went online looking for alternatives with the same nutrition for my guinea pig. I found this and decided to give it a try. It is the best thing. MY allergies have gone away and my guinea pig eats every part of it. In the timothy hay there were harder stalks that my guinea pig refused to eat so when I opened this package and saw that there were no hard stalks I was hoping that my guinea pig would like it. HE loves it and every once in a while when he has a play-date with my friends guinea pig he will not touch the timothy hay. The one bad thing i have to say about this product is that it is slightly dusty but compared to timothy hay this is definitely not as dusty. I would never go back to timothy hay. This has the same nutritional value and is cheaper. I do wish it came in a larger package at my petsmart but it still lasts me about a week and a half for each of my guinea pigs.

My bunnies love the orchard grass hay. I mix it with their timothy hay and they start munching on it as soon as I put it in their cage.

If you have a picky rabbit like mine, try this product! I had the hardest time getting him to eat hay and I've tried them all. After introducing him to Oxbow Orchard Grass hay I now won't have to try any others..he LOVES it.

I've been using Oxbow's orchard grass for about 3 years now. My two guinea pigs LOVE it...they don't (and won't) eat other hays. They may be spoiled but that's could be one reason why they're almost six years old!
Pros: grass is supple and tender
