Leather. It's luxurious, wears well, looks good, and for the fashionable pooch, it's the only way to go.

This collar is great for my Australian Shepherd! It was purchased at least one and a half years ago, and it has held up wonderful. We got the collar when Kodiak was a puppy, (and he has grown HUGE) so we could change how big the collar got as he grew. After a while the painting on the collar started flaking, but it still holds up fine. The only other downside is the fur on Kodiak's neck (and other long haired dogs. Maybe even shorthair dogs, but I don't know.) gets pressed down flat on his neck. Other than those two cons, this collar is great and lasts a long time!!!
Pros: lasts a very long time, great trustworthy collar
Cons: fur on neck gets pressed down, paint eventually flakes off

I bought the tan collar for my cocker mix. It looks great on him, and he does not itch his collar as much. The only con is that it has started to wear out. The leather is starting to get worn around where the collar snaps together. He has had the collar for a couple of months.
Pros: looks great, comfortable
Cons: leather starts to wear out after a couple months
