We ended up choosing Max Cat Kitten formula because of the ingredients listed. Next time you are out shopping compare this food to any other and you'll be surprised how many other list chicken by product. Our kitten did put on a few pounds while on this diet, but I'd much rather her eat healthy.

We adopted 2 stray kittens this summer and they have never eaten another dry food! I'm glad they love a food of such good quality ingredients that is keeping them healthy. I can even trick them into thinking these crackers are their "treats" often. The 16lb bag is great, especially with how quickly we go through it, but wish they carried this size in the kitten food in stores. (Unless they do somewhere, but I haven't been able to find any). I will definitely keep with this line as I transition them to adult food.

We rescued 7 kittens this summer. They were in poor health. After a visit to the vet, we put them on nutro kitten. You should see them now. Their coats are shiny and gorgeous. Thanks for having a 20 pound bag! We have gone through quite a few of them.

She can eat anything, from a whole cow to electric cables, considering she is only 3 moths old that is a lot. But with Nutro Max she behaves like real a lady not as a ferocious feline. She has a beautiful silk coat, is growing fast but not fat, she looks very satisfied. I'm very happy with this product.

My mommy bought this for me when I was only 10 weeks old, after having me on some gross low end competitor brand. It's definitely worth the money. Before, I was not gaining weight as quickly as expected and my stool was loose and infrequent. Since switching (we now do a half and half mix, because he refused it outright at first, plus mommy has a giant bag of the old stuff still) I have grown a ton and am much more regular. Highly recommended.

I brought this home for my two little monsters to see how they would do with it. After about a week now of having it in the house they are starting to eat it more regularly, but it really feels like they're doing so under protest. They're attitude really seems like "Ugh, if I *have* to I guess I'll eat this stuff." I'm disappointed but its still early days with figuring out what they'll eat.

We have 4 kittens that just turned 5 weeks old. They have been exploring the mothers' food dish and eating a few kibbles (high end competitor brand) as well as nursing.
We brought home a bag of Nutro Max kitten food today and all four kittens (plus the mother) had their face in the plate! You would think they were starving! I was afraid the larger size would be more difficult to eat but they enjoyed crunching. Amazed at their attraction to this food at such a young age.
When I figure out how to add the picture of them all eating I will....it's a true testimonial - Thank you!

My kitten got rather large when eating this food. I had to switch her off of it because she was putting on too much weight. She is still a bit heavy now that she is an adult. I would recommend watching your kitten's weight while s/he is on this diet.

I found this to be one of the more affordable premium foods. on average its about $2.33 per pound. My kittens liked it, though the size may be a little to large for a kitten who is just starting to eat dry food. They're stool never changed (i was hoping itd b less stinky), but i did notice a redction in shedding.
Pros: affordable premium food
