My turtle loves this stuff. It holds water pretty good. The top layer dries out pretty fast with 2 lights on all day. The under stuff stays damp. My turt loves to burrow in this substrate. I'd change it every 2 weeks though. It can get rough looking. I buy 2 packs and makes alot.
