I just adopted a dog from a pet rescue in Louisiana where I assume it was hot and they had fleas and the dog I got came with worms in his stool. After reading about this dewormer I decided to try it. It seems so far the worms are gone. The dog is eating fine and hopefully will gain some weight now.

The only problem I have is with the directions. It doesn't say how often to give. I gave one on Monday and one on Tuesday, I hope that wasn't too much, but it doesn't seem to have any side effects.

The dog is pooping fine. Although the dog is like 5 pounds and the dosage was for ten pounds. Hope it wasn't too much...but, it seems to have been fine. I will give another dosage in a few weeks to kill off any eggs that may have been layed...from what I read this could be the case. Anyhow, 13 bucks is alot better than paying $300 at a vet for the same effect.

I deffinitely reccomend this product.

I checked online to see the correct dosage of the medications to kill tapeworms in a new rescue dog. When I got the info, I compared this to the prescription medication and opted to go with this over the counter brand. Normally I would have gone to the vet but it was Friday afternoon and they were closed and I didn't want to deal with tapeworm segments all weekend long. After just one dose there were no more segments in my dog's stool. We had already dewormed her for the other types of worms, so we weren't worried. After about a month, she still wasn't gaining weight. Our vet recommended deworming her again, and every three weeks for a total of 6 doses, since some worms are showing resistance to the common dewormers. Well, after the second dose, we are back to gaining weight. This product is great, although some dogs may have a reaction. It's the same price as a dewormer from the vet, so we'll be opting for the prescription from now on. But the product does what it says.

Pros: easy to administer, works great, taste, price

I had brought this product in the liquid form to give to my puppy. After three treatment as per given by the box, my puppy still has worms. It was a waste of money. I was also told by someone at the local animal hospital that you have to be careful with these kind of treatments. She has seen dogs have a bad reaction to some worm medicines that was brought in the local pet store.

This is one of few products on the market that did exactly what it claimed. Both my puppies(8 month old male boxer and 3 month old female) had tapeworms. Because of their difference in weight right now I had to buy two different doses. Within 48 hours of giving them the tablets all signs of the worms were gone and they were back to being their normal clownish selves. Best thing is there was no huge mess when the worms passed through their system.(I experienced that with a tablet purchased from the vet)

I ordered this because the box in the picture says that it comes with 4 pills. I have 2 large dogs that each need 2 pills, but the box that I receieved only came with 1 dose, so I only have enough to treat one of my dogs. Now I have to wait another week because my local store doesn't carry the wormer, so I have to mail it back and re-order it from somewhere else.
