The idea is really cool, but it does not work on carpet very well. It worked better on the hardwood and tile floors. Its also loud, and my kitten was not very found of that. It also does not have a lot of moves, and my kitten got really bored with it after 5 minutes. I liked the idea and wish he liked it more but it was not happening.

Pros: durable

Cons: loud

The way the description is on the packaging, I'd think this should be rolling all over the floor. I turned it on and it slowly rotated the feather. My cat was more entertained by the feather while I was moving it around while putting the batteries in. I set it down, turned it on, and he looked at it for a second, and looked up at me.

Took the batteries out, going back to the store asap.

I got this for my cats because I was hoping it would be able to keep them busy. I turned it on and the stick and feather thing basically just turned around... there was no wobbing or real movement other than just spinning in place slowly.

I thought maybe it was the batteries, so I switched them out, but had the same thing happen. I was really hoping (and expecting based on the description) that it would teeter back and forth on its on to get the cats to chase it more.

My cat loved it. She played with it for hours till the batteries nearly ran out (I should mention that she's only 7 months old, and hyper for even that age). It was great. However, within 48 hours she had destroyed it. The ball works fine, but she removed the feather attachment by biting through the cord that keeps it attached - no big deal, just re-tie it with some string - except she had chewed through the plastic, and severed the top of the shaft that has the hole to tie through. They need to provide replacements, (it's like 2 cents worth of plastic) or make it out of a tougher material. She still plays with it without the feather, but not nearly as much as when it had the extra weight to flip it all around. If it was cheaper, I wouldn't care as much. If they would fix that problem, I would recommend it, otherwise, I say don't waste your money.

Pros: great action, batteries last longer than expected, you can attach other things by tying them on.

Cons: expensive, cheap material is destroyed easily., works best on hard floors (or very flat carpet).

I brought this home for my kitty, because she's a bit OCD and will play for HOURS. We wanted her to have something she could play with by herself, for the times we were too busy or tired out.

At first it scared her. She did the scared kitty dance around the kitchen for about 10 minutes, then gradually came to sniff at it. When I turned it off, she got up close and personal with it, sniffing it and batting at the feathers.

When I turned it back she liked it more, and now she plays with it all the time! It also works just fine on my carpet, but I have a thin carpet.

The thought is good for this toy however, I purchased because I read the back and it was one of the few toys that "work on carpet", this maybe the case if you have old worn thin carpet, but I have very thick carpet and it didnt budge, the little feather just spun around, very anti-climatic...I initially thought it was broken, till I moved it to wood floor. It worked there, but as mentioned in another review the noises it makes are not likeable (it does tell you this on the package as well) by the kitten, she may have gotten over it...it was the carpet thing that did it for me, 95% of my home is carpet...

I bought this product about a month ago and was so excited to bring it home to my kitten. I took it out of the box, put batteries in it, and put it on the floor for my cat to play with but she just looked at it and never touched it. It makes a funny noise especially if you have hard-wood floors like i do. It's quality is good, but it's likeability for a cat is terrible.
