I bought this tunnel after looking at the reviews and seeing how positive they were. I have tried buying all types of neat cat toys and thought this tunnel would be good since my 11 month year old male kittens are always sneaking up on each other.

First, the lights didn't even work when I got it, and I tried to open the battery compartment up but the screw size was so small so I couldn't figure out if the batteries were even included. When I untied the tunnel and it popped out, the first thing my cats did was chew on the hanging ties at the end (which is a major flaw to have the ties just hanging on the edge of the entrance).

They barely go in it. I have thrown treats in there, and that gets them to go in it, but they crawl only enough in it to get the treat. A few times they seemed interested, but I think one of my cats really scared the other and the tunnel just went flying as the cat tried to jump out. They try to use the tunnel to sneak up on each other, but the crinkling sound defeats what they are trying to do. By itself, this tunnel is too short. I have tried placing the tunnels in different areas such as places not in the open, etc. but they have no interested.

Also, when folding it back up, once you ties the ties, it is impossible to get them untied again, so I had to cut them. I plan to return this product since the lights on it don't even work, and it's a waste of $20. I don't know why my cats are different from everyone else's on this toy.

We bought the twinkle chute tunnel for our cats this past Christmas. It is made of a high-quality synthetic material that makes it very easy to wipe clean. The battery compartment is hidden well and the velcro keeps the batteries safe from the cats. The lights are activated when the cats run through the tunnel, but only blink for a short time before turning off. I think they prefer the noise the toy makes to the lights anyway; although I have seen them watching the lights blink. The best part of the toy is the "crinkly" -plastic-bag type noise that is made when the cats play inside, or touch against the tunnel. Any cat owner knows how much a cat loves a plastic bag; yet this is much safer than bag with no risk of choking or suffocation! I thought my cats would enjoy the toy, but never had any idea how much. Usually, my cats are indifferent and prefer the bag or box that a toy comes in. But not this tunnel! From the moment we opened it, George and Gracie have played with it. They chase one another through it, or one cat will lie inside while the other pokes his paws through the large opening in the middle. The tunnel is spring loaded and sturdy, so there is no chance of it collapsing; even when one cat is "stalking" the other by lying on top of the tunnel! George and Gracie also enjoy chasing each other through the tunnel or playing hide-and-seek !! I only suggest that this toy be kept out of the bedroom at night, as it an be quite noisy with the crinkling sounds; especially when the cats decide to get up and play at 2am. I recommend this toy to anyone who owns an indoor cat, as it will definitely provide for lots of exercise as well as entertainment. Worth every penny!!

I bought this because my kitties like to hide to ambush each other while playing. My older boy loved the tunnel immediately and manages to launch himself through it and the tunnel barely moves. The younger girl took a while to warm up to the tunnel, but now she plays in it all the time. The tunnel is showing no signs of wear. I am glad I bought this for them.

I have three 7 month old kittens, I picked up this item because it was on sale and I was sure one of the three would enjoy it. Turns out all three of them love it and I even picked up a second one so they could all play with it. They love the lights and it gives them great exercise. I would recommend this if you have a young or active cat. It may even motivate some not so active cats. I consider this money well spent!

I love this tunnel! I brought it home from the store and 15 minutes later, my cats were crawling inside of it, sleeping in it, and ambushing each other via the tunnel. It keeps them entertained and fit!

My 4 month old kitten loves this. Makes for great interactive play. The crinkle is not loud or annoying. What is great is you can quickly and easily collaspe and store very compactly if you want to put it away.

I bought this for my kitten when she turned 5 months. She is now 7 months and has loved this toy the moment it was taken out of the packaging. She plays with this every day. She jumps and runs through it. Jumps through the side opening and lies inside of it. She bats at the crinkle noises and lights and bats at and chews the strings on the end. This is one of her all time favorite toys. As soon as she wakes up she goes immediately to the tunnel tube. I recommend this for all kittens and cats.

"The Tube"

I have two cats one which is a year and a half old and one which is approximately 8 months old. They both love this toy. It isn't loud, it sounds just like a plastic shopping bag. My cats play together in it all the time. They don't seem to care about or notice the lights but otherwise it is one of their favorites.

This toy is awesome! I have two 9 week old kittens and whether they are running through it, jumping on it, or jumping in/out of the peek a boo hole they love it. It's also entertaining to watch them play together in it and it just rolls around the floor. A lot of reviews say that it is loud but it says it's a crinkle tube so of course it's going to be a little loud. I have a average sized one bdrm and i just keep it in the living room. I don't hear it at night at all. It isn't even loud enough to block out the tv when they are playing right next to it. They aren't big on the lights so when the batteries run out I probably won't replace them but other than that it is def one of the top 2 toys they have.

Pros: fun exciting keeps them wanting to exercise

Tunnel

My 6 month old kitten loved this tunnel as soon as I put it down on the floor and showed him the noise it made. He dove right in and wouldn't leave for like an hour. I do not think it is too loud for a cat or the people sitting around it. My kitten even loved the lights and was chasing them around the outside and diving in the tunnel after them.

The only downside is that my kitten ripped off one of the tie strings within 5 minutes so now I'll have to find an alternative to tie it with when I want to pack it up.

Our cat loved his tunnel from the first moment we brought it home. It is a place of refuge, a place of fun, and one that keeps their attention for a long period of time. "Just don't walk by too closely as they love to suprise attack you from the hole in the top ha ha!! " We have a new puppy that also loves to play with the cat in the tunnel. It is not only good for cats but fun for other small pets as well.

I thought my cats would love this tunnel because they love playing with bags and anything plastic that makes crackle noises but apparently this tunnel was way too loud for them. They all went in it to try it out but none of them wanted to go back in after the first try.

So I figured the noise scared them so I cut the tunnel open just a bit and I cut out 95% of the plastic sheet that's in there and then sewed the tunnel back up. After making that little adjustment they weren't afraid of going in and playing in it.

Cons: noisy

My 9 month old kitten was kind of confused with the tunnel at first, but once she figured out how to use it she had a ball! She doesn't care much for the lights, so i keep them off. With the amount she's played with it so far, it was definately worth the money. She loves to jump through the hole in the middle of the tunnel. The one main problem with the chute is it's pretty loud. My cat doesn't mind the noise, but at 3 am I do! Overall, if your cat likes to crawl in things or go in small spaces, they'll probably really enjoy this product...but be prepared to hear crinkling...a lot of crinkling.

I have a 6 month old kitten. She dives into every plastic, paper bag, box what ever hits the floor with a hole in it.
She absolutely loves this tunnel. The lights she doesn't care about. So I just leave it off. The crackle sound is loud, but it doesn't bother her. As soon as it hit the floor she was running back and forth through it and in and out of the hole.
She loves the loofa dogs... so I toss it in there and she runs in and attacks or fetches him.
So if the loudness of plastic bags doens't scare your kitty, this is great for them! I was searching for a while for a tunnel for her to play in and this was the best buy I found.
It's also very easy to collapse and tie back up to store it away. I do this regularly so she doesn't get bored with the toys she loves.

This tunnel is durable and the lights add a nice element to it. If your cat likes laser toys it's the way to go. My cat is a little skiddish due to the crackling sound, but other than that, she really likes playing in the tunnel for several minutes. She mainly likes to watch the lights and chase them from the outside. It has a hidden on/off switch and is easy to store.

Pros: strong design, good price, includes laser lights

Cons: a little noisy, no other color choices
