This product has a way better odor control for my guinea pig than carefresh does. The only thing, is that my guinea pig a blonde texel guinea pig, and the recycled paper bedding of this product actually makes him look dirty and gray. So I switched to the pelleted version of this bedding and no dirty guinea pig! Still great though :)

every cage cleaning has no odor whatsoever, even though i can tell its really dirty. Its more expensive than aspen, but the odor control is phenominal. And its made from recycled paper so its environmentally friendly.

I have four mice that get very smelly after only a few days. After I started using this bedding the odor is minimum now. It's very good at absorbing the urine. It doesn't get heavy and wet when used like carefresh. And there is barely any dust. Probably the only con is that it's not very good for bedding/digging material. What I do is put a laying of Sun Seed Fresh World Bedding and when put Eco Bedding for Small Pets for them to dig threw. And my mice LOVE it. I also use it for my hamster. But she doesn't stink as much.

I have used several brands of bedding and this is my favorite. Unlike cedar and others, refraining from mentioning specific brands, this is hands above the others. Molly, my guinea pig, does not kick as much out of cage. Unlike cedar it does not come out of the cage on Molly. Although I use odor control drops in her water, it seems this is far less prone to odors than the others. My concern for her physical comfort is of utmost importance. This does not have the poking effect of cedar. Summary: Better odor control, less mess, and better comfort.

From the 5 star reviews I have seen and after buying the product, it wasn't too bad.

I still have the huge package and only used it twice so far.

It really does remove most of the (2) hamsters urine odor that tend to stink up my room.

I usually leave a crack of the window open so it might be different for those who actually keep their pets inside a sealed room without air ventilating.

Occasionally I do smell some strong urine smell when I take a whiff to breathe but for the most part, I give it 4 stars.

I would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to buy bedding for less of a price than those expensive ones.

It's quite easy to clean up too~!

Fantastic litter

I've tried numerous litters and this one stands out. My rabbit seems to overflow her litter-box with urine quite quickly and no matter how "absorbent" the other litters claim to be this one actually works. The other litters would have to be changed daily and this one can go 2-3 days without getting too wet. This litter also seems to go much further in the odor absorbing department. The litter-box never gets stinky. I use this litter along with a scatterless pan which keeps Charlie's little paws nice and clean. This litter doesn't seem like it would scatter all over the place even without the scatterless pan. I would recommend this litter to anyone with rabbits.

When i first got my piggies brandy and baxter i have a medium sized cage and had to use the whole bag for one cage cleaning.and it did not even work, my pigs did not like it,it did not control the bad smell they would gather it in piles and it hurt their feet.I WOULD DEFINITLY NOT RECOMEND THIS PRODUCT!!!!!

I tried it out because it had the great reviews. It turned out to be a disappointment. This bedding was more dusty, darker, and more smelly than my other bedding (Care Fresh). My hamsters kept on tossing it through the bars of their cages. I keep good care of my hamsters and I clean their cage on a regular basis. They seemed to like Care Fresh better. I don't know what I'm going to do with the rest of the bag. I would not recommend this product. Save your money to buy a different bedding.

I am absolutely in love with this bedding! I was using wood shavings for a while but they had too much dust and had no absorbency! So I started looking for something else. Once I came across newspaper pellets I saw this one had baking soda in it so I gave it a shot. Never going back. The employees told me that care fresh was the best at order control but with this you can't even tell that guinea pigs live in the room! I would reccomend this to anyone.

I use this bedding for when ever I cant buy Carefresh its not as good but its good for burrowing, making nests etc my hamsters love it Im a hamster breeder and my female hamsters just love it overall it doesnt make as big as a mess as Carefresh it has no dust at all very great Carefresh like bedding if you cant afford Carefresh buy this!

I finally found the perfect bedding for our guinea pigs! I've tried several types and brands. I was hesitant about getting guinea pigs, because I can't stand the smell of soiled bedding. This is the only one that keeps my son's bedroom smell free. No dust. It appears pricey, but due to its super absorbency, it doesn't have to be changed as often. Please don't ever stop carrying this product! I love it!!

This is the best bedding around. I used to use Carefresh but my chinchillas would kick it out and it smelled very bad very quickly. I was having to change the bedding every week which aggravated my husbands allergies. The Sunseed bedding lasts three times as long. I only have to spot clean every now and then and the amount of dust is next to nothing. It is funny the look that I get from my chins whenever I change their bedding because it looks like I filled the bottom of their cage with food pellets. They quickly realize that is not the case. This is also cheaper than other bedding which I love. Better quality with a better price.

I recently switched from soft sorbet to a fleece blanket for my guinea pigs, but they got a uri so I decided to change again. The whole bag has to be used in their pool cage, but it's very absorbent. The big bag is a great price for how much there is.

This is better than anything I've tried ever tried!(Carefresh is dusty, Aspen is 10x more dusty). It's a little bit hard, but not too hard to sleep on- a bit of soft cotton bedding should fix it. The color(I picked pink) is bright enough to liven up the cage, but dark enough to hide the pellets- I honestly haven't found any yet at all. I have two mice, and with this bedding I feel like they don't do their business at all! If you don't clean it once a week; yes, it will start to stink a bit. That's your fault. When the water bottle drips, you would think it evaporated like magic. Lastly- although it doesn't look too great in the pictures, it looks very attractive, cute, and clean in person. My girls and I are very, very happy.

Pros: super absorbent, no odor, dust free

Best bedding I've tried and will continue using it

Out of numerous bedding I've tried, this is the best I've used. It is very absorbent and controls odour very well so you don't have to change it as much. What I like most is that it really is dust free for the most part.. unlike Carefresh. When using Carefresh, dust would stick to the sides of my cage's plastic base. After using this product, I did not have this problem whatsoever.. no dust accumulated on the sides at all. This product also has a very reasonable price and overall is an excellent bedding or litter to be used in your pet's cage. If this is your first time buying bedding, I recommend this one.. don't think that because Carefresh is more expensive it is better. (And if you really like colour.. FreshWorld comes in 3 colours so knock youreself out.) :)

Pros: absorbent, not dusty, awesome at controlling odour, very reasonable price, lasts a long time

I initially used the aspen bedding because it was supposed to have no dust, but it did. My females were moving it to an external wheel and filling it up to sleep there instead of run. At some point I learned the newspaper bedding was better for the delicate respiratory systems of my dwarf hamsters so I tried this. I have the gray, purple and pink and mix them up equally. There is still some dust, but not as much. The hamsters are still able to kick it around, but not to the extent as the aspen. It is softer than other newspaper bedding. They move it to cover the entrance to their igloo. It absorbs urine really well, so daily between weekly cleanings I refresh by removing the damp bedding (usually in their potty compartments, the bubble-like loop tower. and the external wheel and wheel receptacles. My hammies have lots of funnels and accessories. I also daily refresh the cage bedding, by mixing it up and replacing the items in the cage. I agree, that with this routine I can go longer than a week with replacing the main cage bedding if needed.

Pros: easy to use and clean up

Cons: not completely dust free but close

Not my type of bedding

I got this because of all the great reviews. I did have carefresh when I first got my two rats, and the only problem I had was it was a little dusty. So I decided to get this stuff. Not only is it harder to see where my rats have done their business but after they have peed I can smell a very nasty odor. I do clean their cage 2-3 times a week so I know they aren't dirty. I just wasn't as impressed with this product like I thought I would be. Now I wished I would have bought a smaller bag. It does leave some dusty crumbs behind when you do a full cage clean, but it's nothing you can't just vaccum up. Aside from the odor and the dark coloring it wasn't too bad. But I just don't like how it smells, plus my rats don't like it. They are constently throwing it through their cage onto the floor. This is how I know it is surely something they don't like also.

Cons: bad odor, too dark color, little dusty

Ive had my hamster for long enough to know what works best for her and her smells. I have been through a couple of different types of bedding. And I tried that expensive chunky white one and a cheaper one that was far too dusty! This Sun Seed bedding is the absolute best! It is natural and it controls odor like nothing i have ever tried and she likes this better. I think its even more comfortable for her. And the price is so reasonable for a huge bag! I will never use that overpriced nonsense again!!

Pros: reasonably priced, excellent odor control, easy to clean, natural, no dust
