The assembly took about an hour, I had to predrill thats not easy on hardwood you would think it would come predrilled for the price.

i have a russian tortoise and this was n upgrade for him i liked the size of it but he hated it all he did was trie to climb out and he'd scratch at the wall it was vary load and he lives in my bed room so it was hard to sleep if you don't have a russian maybe get 1 but if you do just remember they have long claws plus he didn't use the hiding area at all if i put him in there he'd run it made me sad to see my little buddy didn't like the habitat i wanted so bad

I love this cage for my Russian tortoise! The sleeping compartment is quiet and the main housing area is airy and spacious. I would recommend letting your box turtle or tortoise run in the yard for about 30 minutes every day, as this cage does not provide all the space needed to give the turtle/tortoise exercise room.
The cage arrived in perfect condition. It was very easy to put together and all the boards were straight. The materials are sturdy and withstand a considerable amount of pressure--they hold up wonderfully when my tortoise scrapes her paw against the wood.
Overall, this is a great product. I would definitely recommend it to any potential tortoise owner.

The only downside to this is that the quality of the wooden materials isn't as you would expect. It seems that Zoo Med does quality over quantity, as I've had many different wood sizes that don't fit as well as a few pieces of wood that has been chipped off. It's a good cage, but not all of them are created equally.

Pros: stylish, sturdy, easy to clean

We had it in two days! Expecting it to be about a week, which is fantastic!
It was easy to put together and very sturdy, my tortiose has about three times as much space, which he loves.
It looks nice, we are going to put a coat of paint on it so it matches our livingroom and it will make a wonderful addition, very pleased with the product
