I read through the reviews before asking my BF to get this for me for my birthday and the reviews were 50/50 but i wanted to try it anyway.
My dogs and my neighbors dogs bark at each other through the fence and it drives me crazy!!
I bought this and set it up facing the fence so it affects my dogs and hers. After i put it up, one of my dogs barked and i could feel the vibration in my ear, but no sound....but my dogs all walked away!
They have barked a few times near that fence since i put it up, but it never lasts more then one or two barks before they walk away.
VERY much worth the money!
Just remember that some dogs can ignore annoying sounds just like people can so it may not work on everyone's dogs...but it work great for mine!

After years of blood boiling loud barking from neighbors dog(40ft away) I bought this little sanity saver:-) I talked to the owner several times...yelled at the dog many times and ready to report to the police. This woman has no concern for others including allowing her dog to relieve it's self in her neighbors yard. Over 100 HUGE piles in a 10sq. ft. area plus the barking... Really a nice dog but....she is not!!!! Four barks the first day, maybe one or two for a few days..now silence.. MAGIC...I LOVE IT.. My windows can be OPEN...YEAH...

We have a newfoundland mix who barked anytime she saw a person outside. She immediately reacted to the birdhouse and was completely bark-free after just a few days. Only problem- it scared our other dog so much that he refused to go outside and started going potty in the house! Had to re-potty train him!
All-in-all, I would recommend this product to others.

I have a large dog next door that barks constantly - especially if I am on the patio or back yard. Tried this and it has NO effect!

I take home all the pregnant moms and on occasions I have some that wont stop barking. I purchased the barking device AND a barking collar - the collar did nothing but I hung the Outdoor bark control on the kennel and it stopped the barking from my mom dog AND the neighbors big rotts. I swear by this device and recommend it over collars.

I have 3 small dogs and it worked on 2 of them but NOT the one I really wanted it for!
The one in the pic is the one it didnt work on, she is a Chihuahua x Bolognese!

This works great but our dogs have become immune to it after just 1 week. Bark collars are the way to go if it is for your own furry friend. I like PetSafe Elite Big Dog Bark Collar PBC00-12725

It worked immediately with my dogs and my neighbor's dogs. The four dogs get into barking fests. When I put the birdhouse out in the yard after a couple of barks all the dogs quieted down. It has really cut down on my dogs' barking and I only have used it a couple of times. My neighbor's dogs still back some, but when they do I turn the birdhouse on and they quiet right down. I haven't used it many times, and only left it on once when I wasn't home. The downside is it is too sensitive. If I am too loud when calling the dogs it will go off.

Read the reviews before buying and since they were reasonably close pros and cons I decided to try it.
This had absolutely no effect on my cockapoo. He stood right in front of it and barked his head off and he runs all over the yard barking and it does nothing. I know it worked for some, so I guess it is worth a try and if it doesn't work it can be taken back.

We bought this for our one-year -old chocolate lab who barks at EVERYTHING, and were not pleased. It was easy to set up and install, and for about 5 hours it stopped our dog from barking. Then he apparently became immune to it and started barking again. This might work for some dogs, but not for our hardcore barker.

Excellent, worked instantly for our two dogs, a german shep. and a bird dog mix. Have had for over a month, and now we can relax and not worry that they are barking at the neighbors while their sitting on their deck or mowing the lawn.

We have neighbors behind us whose dog, every morning, would bark for an hour straight waking up my wife. She works nights and it woke her up every day. After doing some looking around on the net for similar products and reading many reviews, I decided to get this product. The reviews were 50/50 so while at Petsmart I asked the sales associate what the return rate is on this product and he told me "when it works, it works; when it doesn't , it doesn't." He also told me if it didn't work I could simply return it.
The next morning, as usual, the dog started his nuisance barking. I went outside placed the device per manufactures recommendations and turned it on. The dog barked twice and jumped back. He barked once more and jumped again. He then went back into his enclosure and didn't make a peep for the rest of the morning. It actually worked! I turn it off during the day because we're either not around or we don't notice the barking as much. Also people did say in the reviews that some animals may become "immune" to the device. I don't want that to happen.
The device has worked great for us. I would recommend it to anyone. If it doesn't work for you; return it.

I have a chocolate lab and this did not work for him at all!!!! As a matter of fact the more he heard it go off the more he barked he hated this house It is one of the worst training tools ive ever used! Do not recommend to anyone! Buying this product is a waste of time and money! I would give it no stars but I have to atleast choose one...

We have two Lab-mix dogs who run loose in an enclosed area of our yard. We bought the product at a PetsMart store, put the little house on a metal plant hanger stake and now it is so quiet we turned it off after only one night. If they begin excessive barking again we'll turn it back on for awhile. So far it works for us.

I bought this last night because neighbors I'm friends with said that my shepherd/husky mix barks when a lot of foot traffic go by my apartment door. I live in a 12 unit apartment and have never had complaints but I know Kai's barking can be disruptive and I wanted to put a stop to it when not home.
I looked at reviews for these units and talked to the girl at the store. She said this unit can be used indoors as long as you don't have a security system (which is why they apparently don't rec it on the packaging).
I placed it on my counter by the door and she barked once, was stopped by the waves sent out and then sniffed around for five minutes trying to figure out where the noise came from - was quite funny.
I turned it off during the night as she doesn't tend to bark then and when I turned it back on in the morning Kai watched me. I give her treats before I leave for work and she always does a happy dance and will sometimes bark, but not this time. She sat, looked at me, wagged her tail and kind of talked in a way I've never heard her do before which was also cute.
So far so good. I texted my neighbor this afternoon and she said she hasn't heard her bark once!
I got this unit on sale for $40 yesterday and it was worth every penny!

Purchased this not only to get my dogs to stop barking, but to hopefully encourage the boxer puppy and the miniature greyhound in the 2 adjoining yards to stop charging the fence and setting off my dogs. My Cairn figured it out after a couple times. She just comes back up the hill and lays down. My Pomeranian is being more stubborn, which is typical for him, however tonight he is finally getting it. He is still barking, but instead of going crazy, he will bark 3 times, stop, try it one more time, stop and run away looking over his shoulder. The best though is the neighbors little dog tried charging the fence multiple times in the half hour I was out and ran back to his back door totally confused. She let him in 6 times in about 10 minutes, then the last time he was out for 20 minutes with no barking. He was running the fence line, but was quiet. We may try out an indoor model after setting this one near the front door, neither dog will touch the tile in front of the door, and just go stand quietly on the carpet. I did see it go off when a huge truck went by, but figured since my dogs started running to bark at it then stopped, that's not necessarily a bad thing for now.

Bought one because of neighbors big rottweller barking all the time. Especially at 4am. First day of having it he started to bark then stopped abruptly. Next day he ran the fence line whining. Now he will not bark or whine. wonderful product. Would diffently recomend it.

I just purchased this product and set it up in my backyard.
I set for highest wanting maxium coverage. I have 2 german shepherds. My neighbor to the left of me has a black labrador then next to her is Lady with small yappy dogs 2 of them .. then to the right of me over one house is another small yappy dog. We all have in /out doggie doors so our dogs can come in and out of the house freely. If my dogs were outside all the dogs barked. I couldnt let my dos outside freely. I put this up over 2hrs ago and so far I have noticed the reduction in all dogs barking. My dog Fred only barks once or twice then gives up. Where as before he would endlessly bark thereby makeing my other dog Coffee run out to see what all the hoopla was about and she would bark endlessly .. then the yappy dogs would start in ... I hope my nieghbors appreciate the silence as much as I do. Yappy dogs are tolerable my big ole german watch dogs are heavy deep gonna eat you bark was the loudest and it bounced off our concrete houses resounding through out the nieghborhood. With this in place less barking for all doggies. I am hoping it covers the front of the house and I noticed my dog fred barked at the front door once and stopped so hopefully I will only need one. Excellent product so far. I know its to early to tell but If i change my mind in days to come i will write another review. So far i highly reccommend this to dog owners.

I just bought this and set it up yesterday morning. Evening is very busy in my neighborhood as people are always walking their dogs. My Beau would bark at almost anything and everything going by, from kids on scooters to motorcycles. He would even bark at loud vehicles on a nearby street! I just watched as a couple walked by with their two dogs and both of mine barked once then ran around to the side of the house to get away from the noise. They did this twice. Then they came back to their usual spot on the sidewalk and intently but silently watched as the couple walked on by! I believe this is the beginning of peaceful evenings for me and my neighbors! I thank God for the people responsible for making this wonderful product.
