Its ok for holding millet if you can find millet skinny enough to go in it. i don't really like how small the hook is at the top either so if you want it to hang lower you can't and my birds didn't even care for the bells. i don't think i would really recommend this to anyone unless you had a small budget and nothing else to hold your millet. personally i prefer just hanging my millet on the sides of the cage with twist ties works great.

An easy way to get your bird to forage. Just be sure to not treat them with millet all the time. Fruits or veggies can be put in it as well.

Birds even like it sans millet

I had one of these for years. I came second hand with my bird cage. I didn't really know what it was for, and I let it hang in the cage. My keets played with it like crazy. They liked to hop on it and let it swing. They played with the bells (which never fell off unlike some toys), and they liked to nibble on the middle part. The holder is a bit small, so you will most likely have to cut the millet to get it in.

Thought it would be longer

I thought it would be longer, since millet are twice as long as this holder. It won't stay hanging inside, since it's so easy to unhook by my 2 birds, so I lay it on top of the cage, but they knock it off eventually also.

I don't really like this toy, the seed on the stem that you put in the toy, they don't fit very good. the perch part is alright, and my bird loves the bells.

This is a good sturdy millet holder for our small birds. It's angled so it can fit any size millet, including broken pieces, that don't fall out the side bars. The hook to hang it from is big enough to fit over any sized cage bar. Our birds like to sit on the perches or cling to the sides horizontally. It doesn't tip very much at all and it doesn't fall to the ground. They also like to play with the bells.
