"I have 2 for my cat. I put them on the seems to the carpet. She always wants to get out of the bedroom at night and digs on this instead of my carpet. I used double sided tape to keep it on the floor so when she scratches it doesn't his her in the face. ( it is the double sided tape they make to put on your furniture so that cats don't scratch it. This I found was the best kind because it doesn't ruin the carpet)"

"I just bought one of these for my 2 yr. old male cat who insists on scratching the futon cover on which he spends most of his day. Much to my surprise, the oldest female cat has decided that it belongs to HER, and is fighting and refusing to move. What a surprise! She usually is content to use the cardboard scratcher. They both LOVE the little attached toy!
I'm very happy with this purchase and will be going back to Petsmart this evening to buy another one so the fighting will stop :)"

"This product is great! My kitten's more of a carpet scratcher than a furniture scratcher so I bought this mat to put down to curb the habit, and it worked without me needing to even entice her to use it. I put it right down on the carpet and she went right over to it and used right away! She loves it. Just wish there was a way to keep the mat down and stable more, since she's a strong scratcher and she pulls the mat around when she scratches. Had to tuck the corners under a chest to keep it from moving for her."

"I bought one of these mats and my cats started fighting over it so I had to turn around and go and buy another one. Now they are both happy and it is nice seeing them so content. They love to nap on the mats, play by running and sliding under them and flipping them over. They seem to like both sides of the mats. Best thing I ever bought. well worth it."

"All 3 of my kitties (from the youngest to the 18 lb oldest) love this product and have been trying to tear it to pieces. I had to buy a second one because they started to fight over scratching rights. It's hilarious watching the old matron cat roll around on the pad and swat the toy ;)"

Pros: my cats love it! Cons: my two cats fight over it!
"I've tried numerous door hanger scratch toys, I've bought the scratch posts (that always fall over on the cats making them terrified to go near it again) and also the cardboard scratchers (which can get messy..). This is by far the best. I've only bought one so far but my oldest cat has become very possesive over this scratch mat and won't let my younger one use it. They fight over it and they never scratch anything else (except for furniture every now and then..). I only wish it were bigger, but I guess I'll just have to buy more than one."

"I bought this for my cat that was constantly scratching my computer chair and couch. I put one next to each "problem" area and she hasn't wanted to touch the couch or chair since. Its wonderful. She even scratches it with her back paws. Sometimes she even sleeps on it she loves it so much. I would recommend this to everyone. The fact that there isn't catnip everywhere and they still love it its terrific."

"Our cat was scratching on our area rugs which were too nice for little claws. I bought him a "Scratch Mat" and he just loves it. After he eats, he heads for the mat scratching and laying on it. It has been a Godsent. Zusie"
