"just a note to the previous reviewer, the jager heater is fully submersible.
the heater is extremely accurate (german engineering does that), and easy to use. if it is off the temp by a few degrees, just recalibrate it-its that easy!"

"This heater is comically large. The 100W heater I bought is 12" long. I guess I should have looked more carefully at the dimensions, but I've never had an issue with any other brand before this. It doesn't even fit in my 20 Long tank. Not if I want to put the cover back on, anyway. And the minimum water level it requires for the thermostat to work would mean virtually filling the tank to the brim, which you may not necesssarily want to do, for various reasons. And it's not fully submersible, so it can't be placed horizontally. Very disappointed. I'll be returning this for a smaller, submersible one. Live and learn!"

"I have had this heater for over a six months and hasnt failed me yet!! Is easily hidden behind plants and other decor so you dont have the unsightly heater. I would definitely reccomend this to my friends."

Accurate reliable heater,

"I have 2 Jager heaters, a 75 watt and a 100 watt. They have exact degree indicators that are fairly accurate (a good starting point anyway). Once I set them they have not needed to be adjusted further. They maintain the temperature to within a half of a degree. Compaired to other heaters I have owned this is the best. The only drawback is that it is not fully submersable."

"This Eheim heater does not match up to the original Ebo-Jager heater. This heater is not fully submersible. I do not recommend this heater. Purchase a heater that is fully submerisble."

The Best I've Used!,

"I bought a used tank and it came with the 150 watt model. Normally when I buy a used tank I don't go with the heater that it comes with, but this looked like a good one. It's in a 37 gallon tank and all I had to do was set it for 78 degrees on the convenient one-degree-increment dial and voila! This tank is ALWAYS at exactly 78 degrees. The running light is always easy to see even though the heater is hidden behind plants. I've never had a heater that is so easy to set and works as advertised!"
