My hedgi won't even touch these so called "specially formulated hedgehog foods" he just dumps it out and the sunseed kind too... looking through breeder sites they all feed them cat food instead. If price is the issue you are still way better off with a good cat food than this garbage.. my hedgi doesn't eat much, just a few tablespoons of crushed food a day so a bag of cat food lasts a long time. Do your pet a favor and feed it something healthier...general rule if a meat or meat-meal (specific type of meat) isn't the first ingrediant then its not recomended to feed your pet cause its mostly filler.

My hedgehog loves this food! This is the only hedgie food i will buy for my hedgie. I bought a differnt brand of hedgehog food because petsmart was out of this brand and my hedgehog had a hard time chewing it because the pieces were HUGE. This hedgehog food is small and the price is afforable! My hedgehog enjoys this food and she is happy and healthy!

Pros: afforable small my hedgehog loves it

Cons: petsmart runs out of it quick!

This food is horrible for hedgehogs. Doesn't have what they need for nutrition (meat products), and most hedgehogs won't even touch it if they have a healthier food available, i.e. a good quality cat food. It also doesn't have enough protein in it for a hedgehog. Most of the first few ingredients are just fillers, they should be a meat product, such as chicken, or chicken meal. Don't feed your hedgie this, please, if you want it to be healthy and happy.

Cons: poor nutrition, not enough protein

Very low quality. My hedgehog won't even eat it. So many extra things in it.. read the ingredient list for yourself.

Pros: lower cost than most brands

Cons: low quality kibble, long ingredient list, some unneeded additives that are unhealthy

Hooray for Hedgehogs!

This hedgehog food is my number one choice for my little buddy. It gives him everything he needs while I pay little for it. Add in a couple dried mealworms and he's good to go.
