Excellent Pet Bed,
July 7, 2009
by ShannonS
from Louisville, KY
"I live in an apartment on the third floor so needless to say my kitties love looking out the window. I saw this item in my local store, and it was between this one and another one which was more rounded. I chose this one because i liked the rectangular shape and it came with a free cat toy! Assembly was super easy and i have had no problems with this product at all. The cats love laying in it and watching the birds who have nests outside our house and love it when the windows are open. I have the white color and i don't think it shows hair too bad. When i got this i had three kitties, one grey one black and white and the last mostly white. The cover coming off makes washing a breeze. The only draw back i see to this would be the support legs have taken a little paint off the wall but its nothing a quick touch up cant fix and you only see it if you move the legs and look. Charlotte, Jack and Oreo would recommend this window seat to your kitties."

"My cats loved it and it was a great idea except for the installation. The adhesive strip will not stay for very long and it totally tears the paint off your window sill. If they could come up with a better way to install this would be a great product."

Not Strong Enough,
August 21, 2009
by AngelinaM
from Chicago
Cons: adhesive attaches directly to sill, adhesive not strong enough
"I bought this hoping my heaviest cat would have a place to look out the window in our new home because we have rather narrow window sills. I was upset to find out that I had to adhere velcro strips to the window sill itself, since it said nothing about that on the box in the store. However, I wanted my cat to enjoy himself. I washed and dried and washed and dried that sill, and then left the velcro to adhere, and then kept the cats away for as long as I could. Only one of my three cats enjoyed laying on it, and he wasn't even looking out the window. But he only must've laid there for an hour of the one day it stood up. I put it up two days ago, waited the eight or so hours, and then it was used only a little yesterday, and I find it today, fallen off the sill! The adhesive completely unattached from the sill! I'm taking this back to get my money back! (I'd rather get a small condo to put next to the window (because at least there'll be no adhesive on my window sill)!!!"

Pros: is large enough to fit multiple cats, soft warm and very secure, gives indoor cats a very good place to watch birds
"I purchased one perch for the window in my bedroom so that the cats would have more room to sit. They loved it so much that I purchased a second one for the study at the front of the house so that they could watch the comings and goings of the birds. We then found that four cats would be on the perch all at the same time, so I moved the first one over and installed a second perch in the same window. In total we have three perches. There is always at least one or two cats on them. They are popular spots to take long naps, and I would highly recommend them to all cat owners."

Pros: large, sturdy Cons: hard to move, single-use adhesive
"Both of my cats love this perch. They love to look outside and also sleep on it. The only problem I have is that it isn't easy to relocate. I'm afraid my windowsill's paint is going to come off when it comes time to move. The perch only came with one adhesive strip, so I'll need to buy another adhesive when I move."

Cat Loves it. Owner Loves it.,

Lounging in the sun
Pros: cat loves it, sturdy base, large surface Cons: potential window damage upon removal, might be tough for small sills
"I recently adopted an adult cat from a shelter, and have never owned a cat before. I found that he really does enjoy looking out the window, and would spend a lot of time sitting in the bay window. I work from home, and thought it would be nice if he could spend time with my while I work, so I installed the window seat in my office. The installation was simple, though I am not sure if there will be damage when removing the velcro adhesive. As I have wood sills, I could easily refinish any damage. The seat is large enough (he is a good size cat), and seems sturdy, even when he makes the terrifying leap from my desk (I was sure it would fall). I do recommend waiting for the adhesive to set, as it seemed wobbly at first, but the next day seemed firm.
I would recommend this to anyone, though I would caution pet owners with shallow sills. Mine are 4 inches or so, so it sits pretty sturdy.
This is also a great price for a great product. Highly recommend."

Has Held up so far!,
July 28, 2008
by Halobabe
from Lexington, KY
"I have had this perch for about 4 years and have had two different cats that have loved it. I never had any problem at all with the velcro adhesive attaching to my stained woodwork, in fact, I have taken the perch off several times to paint the wall around it. I just wish you could buy replacement pads and covers as even washing can't get all the hairs out! Plus the darker the color the better. When we got ours, there was only the fake sheepskin ecru color available and it's gotten really gray and worn over the years."

cat perch,

by vlm129

"I purchased this window perch about a month ago and love it. So do my cats. I had to move it from the original spot so I just nailed it down to the other windowsill. the only issue i had with it was the wooden strip on the perch where the velco was came off. I just refastened it with some heavy duty staples and it was good as new. I would buy this product again. It makes no markes on wall, etc. and the sheepskin comes off easily for washing."

Good buy,
January 13, 2008

"My kitty "Monkey" loves her new window seat! I installed it with ease and have had no problems with the velcro. My window sill is very narrow, only about 2 inches wide. I couldn't even put a plant on it if I wanted to. But this stays put and I take it down at night. Just pull it off the velcro and place it back in the morning and it still sticks great."

"I may have the only cat on the planet that won't use this thing. In fact, it gets in his way of looking out the window. He likes to get right up against the screen and look out. He's completely uninterested in sitting or sleeping on the perch. He'd rather sit on the wooden window sill. Also, the adhesive on the velcro strip is terrible. It comes off very easily."

Nice window bench,
July 23, 2007
by StephanieinCT
from Hartford, CT
"Our cat loves this window bench. It was easy to assemble and was on the window in a couple of minutes. Even though we let it sit for a few hours before the cat used it, it did fall off the window at one point. The velcro separated between the bench and the window. So my husband staple gunned it, and it's secure now. I'm not sure if that was really necessary, but you can't stop a husband on a mission! Overall, I would recommend this for the price. The cat loves it, and it does seem really soft and comfy!"

Garfield Loves the window seat,
March 2, 2007
by Mirage
from Houston Texas
"True it installs without tools, but you are not told you are looking at 10 to 13 hours before your cat can use it, 1 hour for window to dry after you clean it, 2 hours for secure bonding of velcro, then 8 to 10 hours for full strength adherance of velcro glue before cat uses it for the first time, Oh, and found out immediately Garfield liked it, he got up on it before it was completely put together, when I did a test fit to see if it would work in the window, after reading a comment that someone else had trouble with the velcro and had to request a new piece, I did not use the velcro at all, since the wood support had holes in it I screwed the window seat to the wood frame of the window. Also he was sick right after getting on it after it was installed, so I washed the cover on gentle setting on my washer and it came out looking great. Since there is no choice of colours online, I called 2 stores and both only had beige covers, I thought I was going to have to dye it to have a blue one, but when we got to the store, my husband found a blue one right away, it is just wonderful it matches all of our colours in our decor and does not clash with our decorating scheme. OH BTW Garfield likes it especially if the window is open, then he goes to sleep in the window."

Royal Blu Siamese Dream,
January 19, 2007
by Siamqueen

"Perrfect, just what Rodeo wanted. I installed it myself and had some difficulty understanding that you must pry to lift the sticky backing from the velcro as it seperates in the wrong place if your not careful. but I called the toll # and was sent a new velco strip A.SA.P. When ordering online your not given choice of colors so I had to pay my sister to drive to the local petsmart to try and find the blue color displayed online that was all this siamese would settle for. Rodeo`s a happy catper now !l"

Our cats favorite perch.,
December 6, 2006
by ESmith
from Arkansas
"We have two window perchs, this one and the lambswool perch/cradle. Our cats really like this one but do not care for the other one. The other perch sags in the middle and our cats don't like it. I think they feel "safer" on this one. I gave only a 4 star rating for appearance simply because the brace/legs of the frame are thick vinyl-covered metal wire and could have been made more attractive."
