This is by far one of the best rat foods that Petsmart sells. It is loved by all my rats and gobbled up. This is the best and healthiest mix at Petsmart. I love this product! My rats love this product! Do not buy any other mix for your ratties. It is more expensive. The price has gone up since I first started buying this and that makes it harder to afford. It is extremely healthy for your pets though. I tried a cheaper food and will never make that mistake again. This is a wonderful food and well worth the money.

I have 7 picky rats and they ALL love Reggie Rat Food! They won't eat any other food now, they're just too spoiled by it! All of them are healthy and happy and I thank Reggie Rat for it! It is a little on the pricey side- At least if your rats eat as much as mine- But worth it to see them enjoying it so much.

This food is amazing for my two growing boy rats. I used to buy the Oxbow Adult rat food, but it was 3lbs for $12, but this food was 2lb for $9! Great deal, plus its very healthy for them. It doesn't have sunflower seeds, like the other rat brands have, and the rats would eat all of it! Oxbow and Carefresh are way over priced, just look around, and your'll see that other brands are cheap and very healthy!

My rats love this stuff. They eat all of it. I don't recomment Mazuri pellets. They will eat it for a while and then just start hiding it. They are bored with the same stuff. There is a great blend to this stuff. They have been eating it for a long time. And they eat all of it.

Brisby and Bowie are crazy for Reggie Rat ~

I adopted a rat, who I named Brisby, from a girl who had fed her a seeded mix (Ew!). I bought a bag of Mazuri lab blocks, thinking that since they were the best that my rat would gobble them up. Boy, was I wrong!
She would nibble on them and then hide them in her bedding, I ordered some Oxbow and Harlan Tekklad, to see if maybe she would like those. Order's were backed up, and I needed to find a substitute, quick ! I picked up a bag or Reggie rat, and Brisby gobbled it down.
I now have another rat, who I named Bowie, and she as well loves Reggie Rat. (:

I struggled with finding a decent food for my two male rats and after noting that they only ate the colorful pieces I switched to Reggie because of its surplus of colorful chunks. My boys LOVE it! I switched to another food and they barely touch it, I won't feed them anything else from now on. I just wish it was a little bit cheaper or came in a larger bag.

My rats have food allergies and are allergic to peanuts so I had to pick out all the peanuts out of their food. After trying almost all the brands at the store I came across Reggie Rat. I hadn't heard of it before but all the ingredients checked out okay, the plus was no peanuts. I'm so glad I bought it. My rats will eat all of it and after only a week their skin rashes cleared up, my overweight rat is now healthier and my veterinarian says they are in great health. In addition to the Reggie rat I also give my boys fresh fruit and veggies every other day. I couldn't be happier with Reggie Rat. I only wish that it came in a bigger bag.

We were feeding Reggie rat and we did some research and found out that the Mazuri lab blocks were supposed to be a healthier choice, so we switched. We found out that it's only good for them if they eat it. A couple of days in I thought they were just wolfing it down, then I noticed that they seemed a little thinner, so I looked and every bit of that food was in the bottom of their cage under the litter. Imagine, a rat on a hunger strike! We went back to reggie rat and that's what we'll continue to feed. Our girls are about 2 years old and are in excellent health. I would highly recommend this food to anybody that wants to give their ratties good food, with good variety, that they'll actually eat.

I've tried several different brands of rat food and this is the best I've found so far. They'll eat almost all of it , instead of leaving lots of undesired pieces in the bottom of the bowl. I'll be sticking with Reggie Rat!

I have tried almost every rat food out there over the years and always ended up having to watch a third of it go out with the soiled bedding and another third be swept up off the floor. My ratties (over a dozen over the last seven years) would always just sort through their food, eat what they liked and chuck the rest. And what they were REALLY chucking was money (wasted on food that they weren't eating). Even most of the lab blocks (which aren't as nutritionally complete as they want you to believe) ended up being thrown around. So when a friend suggested this food I didn't have very high hopes. But I was pleasantly surprised.
They eat it all! And they get very excited every time I fill their bowls, racing each other to grab their favourites. About all that I find in the soiled bedding are empty husks/shells and everything else goes into the rats (where it should be). It is very nutritious, with low corn content in comparison to most rat foods, and has ABSOLUTELY no orange oil (which can be harmful for male rats). Plus, since I have been feeding my rats this, their fur has become very soft and silky. I am beyond impressed and would suggest this to any rat owner.

Pros: no orange oil, rats eat it all, nutritinally balanced, low corn content

Cons: a bit expensive, not always available in store, not a very large bag

I think this food is nutritious and interesting for rats. I would not feed them lab blocks. I enjoy mixing fresh veggies and fruit into this food and would urge others to do the same. Leave it in their dish until they eat all of it, though, because like others have said they will not want to eat the "healthier" stuff.

Pros: varied diet, nutritious, easy

Cons: seed husks are messy

well i got them the new mazuri rat food because it is the best out there. i thought they might think it was a little boring so i added this food to it and they didnt touch this food at all. i highly recomend the mazuri they love it and its the best for them

Food mixes such as Vitakraft simply don't contain all the nutrients that rats need. Rats are much, much better off with a quality block food such as Mazuri (also sold by PetSmart) or Harlan. Another benefit of blocks--even the pickiest rat can't leave out any part of it ;)!
