This is a great product from a trusted company. I am confident that I am feeding my cichlids with the highest quality ingredients because this is from Hikari. My oscar is showing fabulous colors and eats these with no problems!

This is supposed to be one of the best cichlid foods on the market, so I'm disappointed that my fish won't eat it. They are used to the TetraCichlid granules, which sink. The granules are way too small for them and they need bigger food, but they absolutely will not eat these floating pellets. Apparently, they are just not ready to be top feeders, so I am going to have to purchase them another food for middle feeders, but that is larger pieces than the granules.
I gave 5 stars for quality, because I know this is one of the best foods you can feed your cichlids. If this will be the first time you try your fish on a floating food, I suggest buying the smaller bag, instead of the big one like I did.

ALL of my cichlids in my large tank absolutely LOVE this food! I have a Tiger Oscar, Jack Dempsy, 2 Convicts, and a Midas. They ALL go crazy when I bring the food container over to the tank. They swim up to the side I'm on and start "dancing" around all excitedly! Their different colorings are all outstanding! My Midas is an extremely orange color, nice and bright, my Jack's turquois scales really stand out, and my Oscar couldn't look look better! The Convicts, too, are bright and beautiful! Also, I have been using this food for many years, for my Oscars, and they have never contracted the hole-in-the-head disease. I don't know if that's due to the quality of the food or not, but I thought I should mention it. My only gripe about this food is that it is a little expensive! I buy two or three bags at a time and dump them into a special tin. So, $12 per bag really adds up for me! But then again, I pay it because I just don't trust anything else as a staple food.
Pros: adds excellent coloring, fish go ga-ga for it
Cons: can get a bit pricey

It took about three months for my oscar to warm up to these, but now its all he eats. I dont notice any change in color though. He just looks healthy and happy.
Also like others had mentioned, my oscar goes wild when I pick up the red bag, smart fish...
Pros: yummy

i started feeding this to my Oscar since i got him and hew will not eat anything else (except the occasional treat or feeder) he absolutely loves this stuff and i can always get him to come out of hiding buy shacking the bag in front of the aquarium. an dlike others said this food really makes no mess.

i wish this product would sink in tank. i have a picky cichlid who likes to eat from bottom of the tank.since this food floats i usually have a food mess on top of the water until product starts to sink. the he decides to eat.

My oscars are obsessed with this stuff. They will dance and play anytime they see you lift up this redish-orange bag. They know what it is and what it means for them. Since I've been feeding this to them, I've seen no problems. They are active and healthy and growing like weeds! I highly recommend Hikari.

I have 4 cichlids currently they all seem to like the food. I also use feeder fish. I rotate using these pellets and the feeders. The pellets have really brought out the color in my Tiger Oscar Cichlid. I would recommend these pellets to anyone with mutiple cichlids since it meets a wide range of dietary needs

This is a great color enhancer...I'm not sure if it has better ingredients compared to Omega One, but it sure does color my fish up...fast! It really highlights the orange and reds in my fish. My Jack dempsey has a pinkish hue because of the food!

I fed this food to my Red Devil, and he and I both absolutely loved it. He ate it readily, and throughout his life he maintained a fabulous coloration. Does not tend toward water clouding, even if occasionaly overfed. Only complaint was that my filter had a hard time sucking up unwanted food, but it was easily cleaned off. Highly recommended!

My Cichlid's will not eat any of this stuff if floats on top for a few mins but then if not eaten falls to the bottom and makes a nasty mess.

My African cichlids love this food. They eat every piece I put in the tank. This food will NOT cloud up the water like some cheaper foods will and if your fish dont eat them all in one feeding they dont fall to a million pieces when they sink, like some other foods do. My fish have been growing faster with brighter colors now that i have swiched them to the Cichlid gold line. Great all around fish food.

This is the only food other than live Gold Fish that our Oscar will eat. Tried many other brands with no success. Pet Smart shipped it quicky- had it in 2 days with regular shipping. Would recomend this product and will buy again.
