Pros: everything
"I feed this to my betta along with Aqueon betta bites. He absolutely adores them! I just have to break up the longer worms into two pieces and he gobbles them up."

Yummy!,
March 5, 2009
by BellaNKatie
from Philadelphia
Pros: delicious (i think), lots of protein and rhoughage, nutritious for a snack Cons: your fish will want to eat these all day
"My Betta (Mr. Blue) says yum-yum! He actually seems to beg for these, like the little pig he is. Even if she is resting on his plant he will come up and swim around near the surface until I drop some in for him. I was not aware Bettas could have puppy dog eyes.
Obviously, these are a healthy treat but don't over do them. Please tell that to Mr. Blue that, because if it were up to him he would gorge on these until he dropped dead of malnutrition. Good thing he can't reach the container through his tank!
I was thinking of trying live (I am not squeamish at all) but I felt nervous about feeding live blood worms because of parasites. These are as close to fresh as one can easily get. Excellent brand, and I plan to recommend them to my friends who keep fish."

Blood Worms without the smell & mess!,
June 19, 2008
by GBLV
from La Verne, CA
"The Hikari Freeze Dried Blood Worms are the best! My female bettas and platies just love them! They readily eat them and the female bettas have developed awesome colors and beautiful fins that make them almost look as ornate as my male bettas (housed in their own tanks of course). The 4 female bettas are all getting along well in the 20 gallon tank & even play nice with each other. These blood worms have been a great addition to their regular diet."

One of the best!!!!!,

"Hello, I have a large tank that houses a school of Roseline sharks and several Dwarf Gourami's and I have never seen fish attack their food like these fish do when I feed them this brand of bloodworms. They go into a complete feeding frenzy and it's really something to witnesss. I mix these bloodworms in with their regular flake and granual food to give them a good variety of taste and texture, Their color is bright and healthy and I recommend these freeze-dried bloodworms to anyone who keeps tropical fish. A++++"

Great treat for my Flowerhorn,
March 6, 2008
by Totalimmortal
from Northglenn, CO
"I use this in combination with several other Hikari Pellet and Freeze-Dried foods. He gobbles this stuff right up. In comparison to Tetra Bloodworms, this stuff is head over heels better.
My Flowerhorn's diet consists of Hikari Cichlid Bio-Gold+, Cichlid Gold, Krill, Tubifix Worms, and Bloodworms. I'll be picking up some brine shrimp too.
Now, if only Hikari would start importing their Flowerhorn formula to the states."

Tasty!,
February 2, 2008
by GenaLovesHammiesAndCats

"I have heard many great things about Hikari, that it is the BEST fish food on the market. After trying it, I must agree! I have tried a few other varitys of Hikari, it is all great. But, the blood worms are the fish equvilent to ice cream. My Pearl Gourami's went crazy! It is far nicer for me, not to have little wormy things wiggling in my fingers as I drop them in the tank. These don't move! ;)"

Blooooooooooood wormies!,
October 3, 2007
by Sammyboy
from Long Island, NY
"My cichlids, and tetras in seperate tanks of course go bananas over them...I even noticed more vibriant colors on their coat as well. When they are normally swimming around getting along and see me lift the tank lid with Hikari Bio-Pure Food Bloodworms, they seem to go into a frenzy mode shoving each other aside jocking for position. And once I sprinkle a little in........ OMG! I try to use this as a treat 3 to 4 times a week. I have yet to try other name brand and because my little ones love them so much, why bother. The container itself is well made. Just push up the small shutter on the dome cap cover, sprinkle and push shutter back down. Done! No need to twist off cap and risk making a mess everywhere or over feeding. When the container goes empty, I will reuse it for my flake, granule or mini pellet goodies. A great great buy! No doubt.. Highly recommend. Worth every penny."

Hikari Blood Worms,
August 7, 2007
by Skipper
from Southern, CA
"My fish are very picky eaters and I've tried several different brands of blood worms and they will eat them but they just pick at them. Now, when I put Hikari Blood Worms in their feeding station its like a feeding frenzy, they absolutely love them and go nuts pushing the other fish out of the way just to get to them. Their like little piggies eating them. If they had it their way, thats all they would eat for all their meals. At least I have HAPPY FISH now. YEAH !!!"

Great!!!,
March 14, 2007
by DwarfPuffer
from Oxnard
"This product is really good! My dwarf puffers won't touch any other dried or freeze-dried food and even some frozen foods. They keep begging for them but I have to stop because they look like they will burst! It's not a powdery bloodworm and it's red in water so it looks like the real thing. It comes with a whole lot.I highly recommend this to people with picky fish."
