My painted turtle seems to like this food and it helps alot to keep the tank and water clean, I have a few gold fish with my turtle and thay even eat it and seem to be just fine. The product is getting harder to find in the stores though.

Pros: clean water and no mess, fish like it to

Cons: needs to be refrighed, not real good in auto feeders

DOesn't cloud my turtles water, price is good, my turtle loves it, and i sit well assured that their recieving a healthy and balanced meal. Great BUY!!

Great turtle food

I have two aquatic turtles, an asian leaf turtle and a musk turtle. This is the only food the musk turtle will eat and my other turtle loves it! It also does not make the water dirty which is important when you don't want to keep changing out the water on a 50 gallon aquarium.

Love this stuff... turtle would only eat spec. LIVE worms.. and nothing else! then I found Nature Zone Aquatic Turtle Bites... and now; I don't have a house full of dried up worms :)
and my turtle is getting the rest of the nutrients he needs.
however Bites are consumed quickly and re-ordering is frequent

I've got 3 Red Ear Sliders, a Map turtle, and a Musk turtle. All are aquatic turtle species. I've tried for over a year to get them to eat some of this stuff I bought for them. I like to give them a variety of different foods. They love just about any dry food that floats. They've had about 4-5 different brands of pellets, as well as the prawn. They've had live crickets. They've had canned caterpillars. They've had cooked ground beef, turkey and chicken, as well as tuna fish, and chicken breast. They've even had live plants, fruits and vegetables. They love it all. Well maybe not the raisins. But these Nature Zone Aquatic Turtle Bites, they consistently sniff, turn their nose, and only if very hungry do they even take a bite, but ALWAYS spit it back out. I can't recall the last time I saw any hot pink water critters or plants in a lake or brook or river ecosystem, so how natural is it anyways?
