I have purchased and tried many bird feeders and this is the last one I bought about two years ago. It is sturdy, easy to fill, and it looks good, even after being out in the weather year round. And, the birds love it!

I hung this feeder outdoors less than 9 months ago, and all of the "copper" areas on this feeder are now terribly rusted. I bought this in part because of the design and copper color, but it is now looks junky.
Pros: design, size, birds like it
Cons: poor quality finish, rusts quickly

I am new to wild bird feeding, but did a lot of online research on different types of bird feeders and went through a lot of reviews. Anyhow, decided just to pick this product up.
I haven't had any problems and have attracted a variety of birds - I use nyjer seed on one side and black oil sunflower seed on the other side. The birds seem to be coming in droves.
As an added note. I left the bird feeder out in the rain, the seeds got a bit wet by the tray area, but it didn't stop the birds from coming. In fact, many of them kept eating in the light rain.
Well built.

I found this to be the BEST large feeder overall. The appearance is beautiful. It holds a ton of seed, separated into two different sections for different seed. The openings are large enough to allow access to seed without it falling out. Drainage holes at the base help to prevent sticking problems. Very sturdy product!
CONS: 1. You have to unscrew the top nut-ring that hangs the feeder in order to fill it. It's easily lost if you set it down, so put in your pocket when filling. Makes it difficult and a pain to refill in the cold winter. 2. The sides are screened. Blowing snow and rain will moisten/freeze ALL of your feed and cause clumping and mold. 3. Deer like to use it as a pinata. They bang it around, knocking out all the seed and often damage it. Hook it HIGH and out of deer reach. 4. Squirrels easily jump long distances to grip on the screen and eat everything.

This is one of the best feeders I have purchased to date. It is easy to fill and holds a large amount of seed. I have had this feeder out year 'round for the past year, and it looks just as pretty as the day that I purchased it. It is also fairly squirrel-proof. The seed does not spill out excessively onto the tray area, and the feeding holes are small enough that the squirrels have to really work long and hard to get at the seed. This has become my favorite feeder, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a low maintenance feeder.
