Good product as bed skirt

I bought several of these to put around the bottom of my bed to keep my cats from getting under the bed (esp the pregnant one). Just bent the "u" shaped hooks at the top inward and hooked it around the bottom of my bed frame - works great.

I bought this for our Guinea pig. I realized once home that it was for everything except guinea pigs. I tried it anyway. It's perfect. We can interact with him and he has plenty of room to runaround. The mat is a definite plus. I will probably end of with another pen so that he has an even bigger space to runaround in as he grows.

A Joy for my Dwarfs to Play in!

When they were still alive, they enjoyed this playpen. It made them feel free, they could hunt down a treat trail I made for them, go through tubes, get some exercise, it was great! It was nice and secure so they never escaped. It was sort of easily-collapsible, but if I did it the wrong way it wouldn't fold together which was kind of annoying. But other than that, I think it was a great idea to buy, and I can't wait to train my mice in this playpen. It'll keep them secure and happy.

This is a great product, very playful colors and is great for small kids to interact with their hamster. For the people rating this bad because their hamsters can escape, that's why the front of the box says never leave your pet unsupervised. The mat is very handy, I had a playpen before with no mat and my hamster would potty all over the carpet, so this mat helps keep clean. It folds away and saves alot of space, nice work crittertrail!

My hamster Russel [russian dwarf] LOVES this pen, I attached it to his cage and he cant climb the bars because he is so small. I would ONLY reccomend this pen for dwarf hamsters because Waffles [syrian hamster] is able to escape very easily.

It was good up to one point when my hamster completely climbed up the bars and jumped right out like a ninja so now he is JERRY THE FAT NINJA!!!

This product claims it will keep him secure but it takes him 5 seconds to climb over the top!

So back to the store you go!

Don't waste your money

Cute idea but our very tiny Chinese hamster shimmied up the vertical bars immediately after being placed in the playpen (it was set up in a circle as others have recommended; didn't help). Also, there are no instructions for how to attach it to the cage. Tried everything but doesn't work.

Love the idea I could attach this to my hamsters cage.... too bad I have a cat so 24 hour access is not probable. My small Chinese hamster hasn't gotten out so far and loves the big environmet. In between each colored section the gap is larger and I worry about my tiny rodent squeezing through. she has no interest in climbing the bars.

Hamsters are very fun to play with and this play pen makes it very easy to play with your hamster. Many people say that this play pen is climbable but if you set it up in a circle your hamster can't escape. I really enjoy this product because first off this was very inexpensive second you could connect your hamster's cage to its playpen and 3rd it comes with a mat to keep your floor clean.

i got this playpen for my piggies its good for hamsters but my one piggie jumps out of it no problem think im gonna have to give this playpen to my niece who has gerbils

I purchased this unit on a Sat. Put it together after I'd gotten home. On Monday I put my Robo inside than went to the bathroom to brush my teeth. Had the strange feeling that I was being watched.. I was!! Robo'd gotten out of the pen and was watching me brush my teeth. The spacing between the wired panels was spaced just enough for him to slide through. Well, on Mon. I returned it and decided to get tube extensions for his habitat instead.

this is the best thing i could ever have invested in my guinea pigs love it because ill take it outside (of course only on a day thats not to warm but not to cold) and put the cover (which i bought seperately) on the top of it so i can run inside quickley and get something if i need to without having to worry about any birds swoping down and picking them! up

It dosent look like the dwarf hamster Im gonna get soon will be able to escape. Only two problems with it, one link is not bent and wont lock on one of the stakes but its fixable, and for storage it dosent fold up good. Overall its really good!

I previously got one of the playpens because my brother broke my last playpen and it was old. I put my hampster in the playpen and put a few of his toys in too. I watched him run around to each side of the pen. Then, he climbed up the bars! I had to get him real quick and put him in his ball. So now i have to put my old playpen around my new one so he doesn't climb up it. Also mine was broken where you can attatch the tubes. I don't know if it was just my pen or they are cheaper then I thought. Not that great...

I bought this for my hedgehog and I love it! Yes pets can escape but for the most part Estrella ( my hedgehog) doesnt try to. As long as there is enough stuff in the play pen for her to play with or hide in she wont try to get out. Its a great place to put pets while cleaning their cage. I take the play pen with me when I bring my hedgehog over to my friends places because it folds up nicely and is easy to clean. I highly recommend this for other Hedgehog owners.

Not Great for Syrian Hamsters

I didn't use this for very long. My Syrian hamster quickly figured out how to climb over the top. I'm almost certain it made a rude hand gesture and giggled as it reached the top, jumped down, and then scurried down the hallway.

It's very sturdy, but doesn't have a lot of room to run around in. Maybe it's better for dwarf hamsters? I would NOT recommend this for gerbils.

Ok: This looks like a safe thing to be putting my hamster in whenever I clean Natasha's cage! It looks easy to keep an eye on here while she plays. I hope this works, considering for my cage i'm getting her i have to replace the wheel and water. I hope this is good for her, beause i'm only gonna buy her the "best oi\f the best". This playpen is great exept for one thing. Your hamster may be able to climb the pen's bars. Other than that it is amazing. Your hamster has a ton of room to explore and run it is great for exersize. I have a Fancy Bear Hamster named oreo and she can climb it (if you wanted to estimate if your hamster could climb it) Over all i would recomend this to everyone but your hamster would neeed full supervition.
