I bought this bottle because it seemed like the one with the best reviews, but when I brought it home, all it did was leak! I didn't even put it in my piggy's cage because of the amount of water coming out! So, I take it back to the store and the employee tells me they get complaints from this bottle all the time. I definitely would NOT recommend it. Yeah, the price is pretty great, but spending a little more in this case would really be worth it.

I've found it to be very useful for when you must go out of town and need to make sure your pet has water. It holds tons of water-- I can forgo refilling it for multiple days. I have noticed that you have to screw the lid on just right to prevent leaks, but it is better than some bottles I have used before. My bun has never had a problem drinking from it.

Let me start by saying this is a great bottle for INDOORS, since this has a vacum seel, any little movement (wind) will make it leak. If you have it for outdoors, make sure you put a bowl underneath or it will ruin the wood like it did mine.

Pros: durable, easy to clean

This bottle leaks! It stained all of the bedding in the area! And it's not chew proof. He chewed the spout of it.

I felt that my guinea pigs Jade and Victoria needed a big water bottle. So I got them this one. It's great! It doesn't leak because it comes with an attachment to prevent leaking, and it works! The only thing about it though, is that the wires to attach it to the cage don't stay on very well when you take it off or put it back on. But otherwise, it's a great bottle and I recommend it.

Big Water bottle

I have 1 small rabbit who i think drinks more than a camel! she had a 16oz bottle that i would have to fill at least twice a day! so i finally decided to buy a bigger one. and thats when i saw THIS ONE! i was so happy with how much water it held! This first time i took it home and filled it up i noticed it was leaking on a corner where "plastic met plastic" so i exchanged it for another exact one. Once i again i was so pleased with the amount of water it held. the nozzle tightens on at a funny angle so careful with that. and it was a bit difficult to place the big holder in the grove made for it, but not really a big deal. my rabbit loved it, but a few days later after i had just filled it up i noticed the water was low. the bottle had another "stress crack" where you could see the plastic had been sealed together. I took it back and bought a different slightly smaller bottle... over all i liked it, especially the amount of water it could hold, but the same crack twice bothered me. so im giving it 3 stars total.

Pros: huge water capacity!

Cons: cracked in the same spot twice

This is a nice bottle since it doesn't leak. Recommended for anyone with multiple small pets. However, it is a little overwhelm for me since I have only 1 rabbit right now :)

I've gone through water bottles that either empty the day after I fill them because they do nothing but leak, or one of my rabbits who HATES water bottles with a passion will attempt to destroy them....And often succeeds. With this water bottle, I have not had a problem with leaking, I have to refill it alot less often, and after a few days of trying to destroy the bottle, my rabbit failed and gave up. He hasn't left a mark on it.

The lid is a little awkward to put on, and you have to squeeze the bottle a little bit before putting it on to create suction to make it less likely to leak. Minor setback to the great product.

Not for vertical barred cages. Bottle is pretty easy to be knocked off, my cat constantly knocks one of their bottles off the cage.

Pros: durable, does not leak, great for multiple rodents

Cons: lid can be difficult to put on, easy to knock off cage

Since my first water bottle constantly leaked, I ended up researching different water bottles and decided to give this a try. It was great! It rarely leaked, and when it did it was only in tiny amounts. A great investment for any chinchilla owner, though you need to put it on the OUTSIDE of the cage to make sure your little critter doesn't chew on the bottle.

Pros: rarely leaks

Cons: container is chewable

I replaced my cheap, leaky bottle with this one and it works great! It is pretty expensive for a water bottle, but if you follow the directions, it doesn't leak at all. I wish it came in a smaller size. It's difficult to hang such a huge bottle correctly every time you refill it.

This water bottle is one of the best I have had. It provides a great amount of drinking water, while reducing the amount of space needed. I have not had any leaks from this water bottle. As said in earlier reviews it is also good for toy dogs. I personally do not like to clean up around my dogs water bowl every day, plus refilling it for small pets every hour is such a hassle. This makes it to where I don't have to. If you have experienced a messy dish or constant refilling, then this is the bottle for you.

Excellent Water Feeder

I did research on Shih Tzu's before I received one for Christmas '07. To keep their facial hair from getting all wet and matted, i read to try them on one of the hamster water feeders. I went through a couple feeders and leaks before I found this one. this one is excellent. Daisy mastered it the first time. I love the no leak and it is very easy for her to drink. This breed is known for drinking massive quantities of water and with the measurements clearly marked, it is easy to keep up with how much she gets each day. it attaches easily to her doggy play pen when she is in there. I have two, actually. One for when she is inside and one for outside. I recommend this for anyone with this breed and for other toy dogs as well. Also, during my research i found that this breed has to have a very shallow bowl and stainless steel at that. Very hard to find. This is all do to their facial structure (nose, mouth). And the more water they get on their fur, the more likely it is to turn due to clorine, etc., so i also give her bottled water.
I recommend this product 100 percent!

I got this water bottle because the reviewers here recommended it, and it seemed good to me. This is much better than the dish I used for water. (They urined and pooed in it.. not a pretty sight) Compared to the dish, it's much better because when I used the dish, I had to change it at least 4 times a day, so it wasted water and time, too. It is 1/2 gallon capacity, as stated on the cover, so it should be enough for any thirsty rabbit.
It was a little troublesome for me to set it up (probably will be easy for you if you buy it; I am not good at following instructions..) It leaks at first because the water bottle needs to set up it's "vacuum", something about the gravity and the water. After at least a few minutes (for your first time filling it), it will go away after a few minutes. After that, it should be gone in seconds. I like how it contains a lot of water capacity.
My 2 rabbits took about 1 or 2 days to learn that there was a water bottle there (used to dishes, I guess) and I'm glad we got them recently and I purchased this water bottle.
Remeber, after you fill your water bottle (completely filled), then screw the bottle tip on tight.
Anyways, if you are considering to buy this, or looking for a great water bottle that does NOT leak, than get this! Listen to all the reviews here and take it as a good source of information. Hope you get this one; I was lucky it's the first (and last??) water bottle I have. :)

I, like may others who submitted a review, have tried other bottles, and this is by far the best! I know it is a little expensive, but it will save you money if you buy even a couple other inferior bottles before trying this one.

For me the biggest plus is the size of this bottle, I have 12 rabbits in a double mega hutch and had to keep two large water bottles in their hutch just to keep them supplied with water until I got home from work, or woke up in the morning. I still have to fill this one that frequently, but I do not have to worry about them running out! The rest of my rabbits (I have 19 now) are sure to never run out of water!

I have not had any trouble with leakage except the normal expected amount when it is first filled.

The only negative is that if you do not have a wire cage, the two attachment accessories may not work as well. With my hutch, I cannot get them spaced out enough to make use of the small hook on the bottom, but it stays in place just as well with the top support.

I have four of these bottles and I will not buy another brand!

I've had quite a few different water bottles for my pets, but this one is by far THE best!
I Love that it has two wires to hook it on the top, and on the bottom so it won't go anywhere!
It did leak a little when I first put it in, but it stopped.
This is one awesome water bottle that provides an ample amount of water for my bunny!
I would definitely recommend this to anyone and everyone!

I have purchased at least 3 different bottles for my 3 bunnies. This is the only bottle that did not leak everywhere. I love this bottle. One of my rabbits loved to grab and pull one of my old water bottles and would get water everywhere. With this bottle he can't because it fastens around it toward the top and also has a hook at the bottom. He can't pull it and no water all over the floor of the cage makes mommy very happy. Definitely 5 stars from us.

I tried two other brands when I first got my guinea pigs. The poor things were out of water after a few hours because the bottles continuously dripped. I have two Lixit 16? oz bottles and I just got a 64 oz for when we go on a trip. They attach easily to the cage and they are easy to fill as well. I would never try another brand!
