"OMG, this brush is freakin' AMAZING. I have two calico cats that shed more than I ever though possible. I have tried many different kinds of brushes and nothing has done the job like this one. I just bought it today and once I got home I had to see if I had wasted another $8. Umm... that would be a big fat NO. One cat came back for a second brushing but the other one I had to hold on to. But she doesn't like to be touched anyway. It does make a huge mess but i would rather gather it now then spend time cleaning my funiture and clothes later. I was blown away."

Pros: lightweight, good grip Cons: warps under pressure
"Yes, it does pull all the loose hair off the cat. One needs to be careful about brushing over the spine or other protruding bones. Yes, it creates quite a mess, but that was expected. How else is the hair to be removed? Does my cat enjoy it? So-so. I pretty much have to pin her down and then gently stroke the fleshy parts of the rump area in the opposite direction as the hair naturally grows in order for it to come off.
It is comfortable in your hand which is nice. It is lightweight. The handle is sturdy,although the blade is made of lightweight aluminum/steel. So don't step or sit on it. It bends if forced to but holds up during grooming.
Yes, I would recommend this item to anyone looking to lighten the load of any medium to long haired cat."

"After reading all people's comment about this and it does work pretty great so I thought myself 'No way...' so I went and brought this product and I was actually amazed what that do and my baby girl Chai LOVES IT! she keep coming to me for more. AMAZING! But one bad thing about is fur comes out every where when I shred it but I think it would work great if you mist water on the cat (even though they hate water) so they should stick to it and brush it without fur comes out everywhere... I highly recommend this product! 8 bucks!"

"I bought this several months ago. My cat really loves it. I also really love it because it does get rid of tons and tons of hair!!! Recently, I found a new use for it...ridding my microfiber couch of my cat's hair. It works better than the upholstery attachment on my vacuum and better than that sticky roll stuff. Everyone should have one."

"This product is great because it removes lots of fur from my cats' undercoats, but I am always afraid that I am going to hurt them. And be careful where you sit this product down. It can be very painful if you step on it while barefoot. Not very safe for a household with small children."

"After using the Smartgrip Shedding Blade, I have now found the grooming tool to help minimize pet hair in my home. My cats kove to be grooming hours at a time, night after night. I found out both cats now have a beautiful silky coat of hair that had been masked by all the dead shedding hair that had never been removed because I had not been brushing them properly. "We have a VERY fat cat, and she sheds even when she walks, my mom bought this brush thinking it would be no good...NO WAY! I can sit and brush our cat and get handfulls of fur, size of large mice! and still get more the next day! Very helpful and she loves it!"

"I have a Mainecoon (long haired) cat that was starting to have a ton of hairball problems. I had tried a more conventional brush and was giving him hairball medicine almost daily, but it wasn't working. After the first day of using this brush, he hasn't had a single problem and no longer have to hold him down to give him the hairball medicine! It is amazing how much hair you will get out of your cat with this brush! Well worth the $7!!!"

"This brush works really well. I couldn't believe that much fur would come off my cats. The only thing is I have to brush them outside or vacuum right after. The brush doesn't hold the hair at all so their fur gets everywhere. Good brush though."

"This blade worked very well, and all of my cats loved it. The only bad thing is that it makes a mess. It pulls all the loose hair off the cat, but there is no where for the hair to go, so it just flys off the blade and ends up making more of a mess than anything. It does work well with getting hair off of the couch though."

"I bought this thinking oh my cat is going to hate it just like every other grooming tool I have bought for him. But I was wrong, wrong, wrong. My cat loves for me to brush him with this and the amount of hair it removes is unbelievable. I highly recommend this grooming tool and the price is not bad either."
