Does what I was hoping for,

"I stumbled across this product one day at PetsMart. I only have one small cat, but he was constantly tracking kitty litter all over the house...especially around the litter box, obviously. Since this product was inexpensive, I thought I would give it a try. It couldn't be any worse than the box and mat I was using.
And I am amazed at how well it works. Of course, there are still small amounts of litter around the box, but I don't find it all over the house like I used to. I can go an entire week without sweeping around the litter box!!
My male cat took to it immediately. He doesn't seem to be picky about his litter box, but I sometimes see him using it, and he always has to have his head peeking out of the top. Which means he uses the bathroom in the same spot of the box every time. So everything does clump in the one area. And he is sure to let me know if I have allowed too much waste to accumulate and get in the way of his bathroom!
All in all, I recommend if you are tired of having kitty litter all over the place!!"

"This litter box is FANTASTIC! We have a larger dog who had a habit of eating the cat litter. I found this litter box and figured I would give it a try. It's awesome! The dog can't get into it and it traps the litter when the cat jumps out. Ingenious idea."

"BEST LITTER BOX EVER INVENTED! Our litter box is located in a room behind our kitchen, so the cats would always track litter all over the kitchen floor, which I hated!! We tried everything, different litter(which pine worked very well but was a messy clean up), an automatic litter box(that was my worse nightmare as to the tracking problem, but great otherwise), etc. This litterbox has SOLVED my problem! I love it! I'll never have a different litter box."

"We have 3 kitties, 2 of which were shelter rescues. My older cats (2 and 3 at the time) had no problem adapting to the litter box (and look so cute when they sit in it with their heads poking out, staring hard at the wall!), but the most recent kitty, who was 2 when we adopted her, preferred the Roll N Clean and took a while to get used to the Clever Cat (until I broke the Roll N Clean - then she ran out of options.) It works very well to keep stray litter in the box, and no more poo hockey!"

"I have owned several different styles of cat litter boxes over my 14 years of being a cat owner, but I would have to say the Clevercat box is the BEST! I have 4 cats who's ages span from 14 years to 8mo and have 3 Clevercat boxes. When you have 4 cat's it's impossible to keep litter tracking down. My old boy was the worst! He would use the box and then jump on my bed and litter would be trapped in his paws....ewww! The Cleavercat box has stopped this because the top is like a litter trapping mat! Yea! He also was overshooting the hooded litter box every time he would use it. He can't overshoot when the entrance is on the top! I haven't had to clean up an "accident" in over a month! I can see some problems if you had a very large cat (over 14lbs) but my cats range in weight from 9-13 and can all get in and out of the boxes just fine. Funny thing note: I saw one of my cats urinate into the top of the box like they were sitting on the toilet. I would recommend this product to anyone!"

"Great product. I had a cat who managed to urinate over the side of every litterbox I tried. The top entry Clevercat box solved this problem. My sheltie liked to sample the litterbox contents. Gross! The top entry Clevercat box solved this problem also. I heartily recommend this litterbox. I am so glad that I found it. Thanks Petsmart for carrying this wonderful product."

"I saw this litter box at Petsmart and went home to look it up on-line. I read all the reviews and rushed back to buy the last two Petsmart had. I lucked up in they were on sale! I took them home and they sat in the kitchen a day or two then I got one and put it in place of the old litter box in the bathroom. I took Darrin to it and showed it to him with the lid off. He immediately jumped inside and used it. I waited another day and put the other one in the other bathroom and he soon used it too. I am thrilled. I will add that Darrin has 3 legs. He is missing his front right leg and can still use the box with no problem. I have a basset hound that likes to get into the litter box so my old boxes were barricaded. I was so excited to take down the barricades! I love the color too. The color blended in with my decor. I am so happy!"

"I decided to buy this litterbox after reading all the positive reviews and assurances that cats would actually use it. I have two cats--one is 5 months old, and the other is 3 years old. The five-month-old uses it, but the three-year-old won't go near it, even though they always shared a litterbox before I got this. Oh well. I guess I'll be cleaning it out with bleach and taking it to Goodwill because I don't want to maintain two litter boxes.
I may recommend it to someone with a young cat or kitten (as long as the kitten is big enough to jump up there, of course), but not to someone whose cat is used to using more traditional boxes. My big cat has always been very adaptable when it comes to changing litter and litterboxes, but he did not go for this."

"If I could this product 10 stars I would!! Our cat boxes are in our laundry room and litter used to be EVERYWHERE every 10 minutes. We have two cats and when I brought this box home they were in it within minutes. We left the old box out, which they haven't gotten near since. They LOVE this box and I LOVE the no litter tracking from the box. The top of the box is designed to catch the litter and it works!! It has been 4 days and I haven't picked up any litter from the floor. AMAZING!!"

Should Have Got One Sooner!,

"I started looking for a "dog-proof" cat box after catching the dog sneaking into the box a couple of times! The CleverCat Top-Entry box looked to be a possible solution -- if my cats would take to the design! To my relief, they took to favoring it over their old cat box within just a few days!
As far as differences/changes go, there has been a big decrease in tracking! Not just throughout the house, but right around the box itself as well! I also like how much more discrete it is -- even more so than cat boxes with hoods! At first glance, you wouldn't know that it's a litter box...
Though there has only been a dog in the house for six months, I wish I would have gotten this box a long time ago! Between the decreased tracking and the discrete appearance, I would have been sold -- even without a dog!"

"I thought this was a great idea, but none of my three cats did. I placed it were their regular litter box was and left it there two weeks. They never even got in, the litter was still fresh. Fortunately, I have another litter box on the second floor, which they hunted out, instead of going on the floor next to this one."

"I'm not usually one to review products online but had to for this one.
We've only had our 16wk old kitten for two weeks but with the traditional box he was getting litter everywhere, and I was starting to consider whether I needed to take him back to his foster mom. He was too scared to use the flap on the box lid we already had so we had to take it off and he would hurl himself out the entrance and shake litter off all over our carpet. I decided to give this box a shot instead. It takes twice as much litter as the box we had, and all I had to do was scoop a few poops into it and put him down inside. He buried everything I had placed in there. After he climbed out I put the lid on and put him down on top of it. After showing him the lid this way one or two times he went right over and jumped in and used the new box within an hour of it being set up. I am dismantling the old box tonight. No more daily vaccuuming! Because he has to climb up to get in and out it slows him down and stops the "bolt-and-shake" routine he had developed. Plus, since I live in a small apartment, this thing looks more like a storage container in my living room rather than a very obvious cat litter pan right next to my television. A lot more subtle, and a lot less messy! Highly recommended."

Clever Cat Tells All,

"My staff is typing this for me because my cute paws are busy with other important matters.
What do I like about my CLEVERCAT litter box? Everything. I can maneuver the sand then hop back on top to "eliminate". Nobody showed me how to do this--I figured it out for myself. I'm a good pet and always jump back in to cover up the evidence. I've noticed that it is very easy for my staff to remove the lid, stand it on edge and scoop out the box--no difficult snaps to undo, no need to find a place for the lid while scooping, no pretzel positions for my humans.
I've also overheard my staff members discussing how nicely the mostly rectangular shape fits into MY motorhome. This is the only litterbox I've had (I'm 6.5 y.o.), but the two seniors before me said it was far superior, in their experience for all of the reasons I've cited.

"I bought this box after I got a dog and she started helping herself to the "treats" my cats left for her in the other box, even the automatic box mind you. Now she can't get in, the cats can, and they LOVE it. I have 3 cats, the largest at about 16lbs and he uses it fine. I don't use the bags as they seem to scare one of my cats, but I sanitize it often. I would recommend this to everyone - yes it is a little pricier and yes you can maybe make a cheaper version at home, but I LOVE this box, and when I looked into making one it would have cost me about the same cost. This product is a lifesaver."

"I have had this product for a few years, and overall it has been one of the best purchases I have made for my two cats. I have not use the litter liners, but have found it easier to use litter pan wipes every month to wipe down the inside to maintain an overall clean and bacteria free box. I have all wooden floors in my home and this box design has kept my floor litter free and dust free. I would highly recommend this product. It will be money well spent."

"LOVE THIS PRODUCT! We have no more potty messes around the outside of the litterbox. There is a significant decrease in litter trails from there paws from our previous litterboxes. Our dog can't get into it. Also we've noticed a significant decrease in odor. I've never been so happy with a litterbox. I'f you have dogs that take a fancy to kitty poopies, or have cats that often time urinate around the rim and outside the box and have a hard time controling odors then you really should give this product a try."

"Why hasn't someone thought of this before?? My two boys took to this right away and the litter mess has been super minimal - I made more mess myself when I was cleaning the box! Another huge plus is that it's square and super easy to fit in almost every room - our old box was a really odd shape and didn't fit anywhere.
