must have

our zebra finches really love these, we always have one in the cage and it gets worn down and replaced every few months, it is easy to attach to the cage, we can loosen the wires and flip it around so the birds can peck the fresh top after they nibbled the bottom and as it shrinks we just push the wires tighter and it continues to hold firmly in place, it's a quality cuttlebone and doesn't have a lot of hard areas or brownness
Pros: high quality ingredients, price

neither the parakeets or parrotlet found this to be inviting and the parakeets were the only ones to ever attempt to bite it, but even that didn't last. it would be great if they would actually pay attention to it!

This was an excellent product for my bird (canary) because it kept his beak neat and tidy and he loved it so much, that he had almost created a hole through the bone! When he finishes it I will buy another because this was great for my bird! I'ts the perfect size and is easy to put into the cage.
Pros: works great

I put this one on the birds house a week ago and i have seen the top of this has been scratched so that means the bird's eating it, it's very cheap and seems like it's gonna last a long time, good for the calcium they need plus they have something to chew/scratch on.

When I first bought a cuttle bone I was a little skeptical, because of the look of it, but my Cockatiel loves it!!! So I will continue to buy them to give her the much needed calcium she needs.

Cuttle Bones

For some odd reason, my canaries, Charlie & Jack, just don't seem to care much for cuttle bone no matter where I buy them (picky, picky!). However, they love baked egg shells (crumbled) that I keep in a small treat cup. These two guys are the first birds I've had that don't care about pecking at their bone, go figure! Anyway, I also use the Platinum Bird Gravel with charcoal on the bottom of their cages and they seem to enjoy pecking at that. Whatever, their beaks seem to stay in great shape and have never needed trimming.

i got this for my parakeet, i put it in his cage, he only pecks and it occasionally. the reason i gave it a three is because i add it to his food, and he picks it out and eats it

I break this into pieces and leave them around my snail tank.
Also I crush some into my calcium bowl for them.
Great product if you have snails!
Very inexpensive, too.

Cheap way to add calcium to your aquarium

I bought this, took the metal off and placed it in my aquarium. It's a great source of calcium for snails which is necessary to keep their shells healthy. Every once in awhile I'll see on of my two apple snails (aka "Mystery Snails") crawling on it.
It's a cheap way to add calcium, has more calcium than crushed egg shells and doesn't change the pH of the water like marine calcium liquid concentrates. I hear its good for turtles and shrimp as well.
Pros: inexpensive, safely adds calcium to water

I have 2 cockatiels. One of my cokatiels don't eat them that much. The other one loves the cuttlebone. The metal stays good on the cage.
