Pros: keeps healthy, not too big, pets love it! Cons: hard to clean, a bit expensive

Pros: colorful, helps trim nails Cons: can be hard on a bird's feet
"This is a great product. Each bird needs a 'sandy perch' in their cage to help trim their nails. Sandy perches can be very hard on a bird's feet, so only have 1 perch per bird cage, and other perch types in the cage, such as cotton or wood. Nails will still have to be trimmed from time to time, but this perch ca help."

"My lennie HATES getting his nails clipped and we hated it too because it was a hassel..... I saw this in the store and i desided to give it a try and guess what?
HE WAS SCARED TO DEATH OF IT!!!
After about a month he (finally) got on it and now he LOVES to sit on it and we haven't had to clip his nails at all in over 3 months!!
And guess what? It is still as gritty as it was when I bought it!"

squishy's green polly perch
"I purchased a medium polly sand perch for my Green Cheek conures a little over four years ago. It is a wonderful product that helps my guys keep trimmed beaks and healthy nails. This product cleans up very easily with min. fuss with soapy water... the polly perch so far for me is just as gritty as the day i purchased it four years ago , so dont settle for the cheaper sand perches they only last a year if that. Go for the pollys brand you will not be dissapointed.. thanks for reading.. talisy"

"I love this perch because my bird Simen loves this perch. Every time i try to clean it he gets super mad when i take it away to clean it he neverbites me but you can tell that he is mad when i take it away this perch is way better then the small cheap perches that are shaped like long sticks my simen hates those. I tried it with him he tried to chew though it he hated it so bad . Do not ask me why he hates that perch but he likes this perch."

"My parakeets fight over this perch all the time, they both love it! It's great at trimming their nails, I haven't had to clip their nails since I got it, and the difference in width is great for their little feet! When I get my cockatiel I plan to buy one for her too!"
