My 14 year old Quaker Parrot was on a mixed diet of seed, pellets and fruits and veggies. Because she is getting older, I wanted her to get her off seed entirely.
We made the transition with Lafeber's Premium Daily Diet Cockatiel Food after a few days of weaning off of the seed, I noticed more pellets being eaten Lafeber's provides the nutrition she needs at a price that fits in our budget.
Pros: high quality, smell, taste, price

The company sent me samples to try and she ate her first pellet so fast (ripping it out of my hand) I thought she might choke. She actually liked these better than Roudybush once she tried them. I did not like these as much as her other pellets so she gets these more like a treat. She inhales these like a bird vacuum set on high speed.
No dyes so birds can't choose to eat only one color. Not too hard or to soft a pellet, so not too much waste but birds won't have a problem ingesting these either. Although most people I know don't feed these as a main pellet, or don't feed them at all, these are great dye-free pellets to use to convert seed junkies!
Pros: great taste, perfect texture, free of dyes

My 3 year old cockatiel was a so called "seed junkie" so i had to convert him to pellets. It took about a week to convert him fully but he loves these now and they are way better than the seeds he was eating. He makes less mess because he doesn't choose between colors or flavors. And they are the perfect size for him to hold in his foot and eat! These pellets are way better than any artificially flavored/colored ones too.
Thanks Lafeber.

My pet didn't like this food at first. But by not giving in to his screaming, he ate it and loves it. It was probably because it is not colorful.
