I just can't say enough about this cockatiel food. My cockatiel was on a dry, loose seed diet for years and always had flakey beak and feet. He also had loads of dander off of his dull feathers and was very quiet all the time. Most notably, he was passing full seed in his droppings. Several times we thought that we would lose him, and the vets always said his age was a factor (18). After giving pellets a shot ( no go) we tried nutraberries and never looked back. It has been almost three years now. He is now active, sings all the time, beautiful and his droppings are completely NORMAL. Amazing. Can't wait to see what the future holds!
Pros: the freshness of the product!
Cons: we go thru them so fast!

I can't say my bird enjoyed these, which is strange because she LOVES Avi-Cakes. But watching her play with these is hysterically funny. She rolls them around the floor and chases them, climbs to the top of her cage and plays 'bombs away', and smashes them against objects until they break and the pieces go flying. Very messy, and they're too big too make good treats if left whole. Break them up a little and there will be less mess.
Very good for a treat, but not to be fed as a diet. They're just balls of seed with some vitamins. Because they're hulled, they do have more nutrients than regular seed (where the vitamin coated hulls get discarded) but they're still not good as a dietary staple.
Also, do not step on them in bare feet. It really, really hurts!
Pros: fun to play with, very sweet tasting, encourages foraging
Cons: not a diet food, a little too big at times

My two Cockatiels love this food. They are very picky eaters but this food has been a success. Their feathers are beautiful, their eyes are bright, and their stool isn't runny. Since it is in a ball form they eat more of the food and they don't fling it on the floor.
Pros: very healthy
Cons: price

Nutri-Berries are great for my tiel. He eats 1-2 per day and loves them and doesn't even leave a crumb. I used them so that he would get used to the flavor of Lafeber pellets. Since then, he has loved both foods and they are very nutritious. I wouldn't use them as an only food like the package says thats why it got 4 on nutrition. I think you should only use it as a bonus to pellets and veggies/fruits. And the smell of it when you open it is great.

I think this food is great, I used to feed my tiels regular seed diet and they were not as active, there stool was runny and not good colors. I have been feeding my tiels Nutri-berries for over 2 yrs now and have noticed a great difference, I dont feed them any other food. The guy that put the review about his parrot biting and things after placed him on the diet is strange because this food is nothing compared to mcdonalds food and am shocked that he compared it to that. This food is outstanding, read the ingredients in the food its a lot better than that cheap seed diet- all I can say is maybe his parrot just couldnt get used to the food. It took my tiels a couple days get used to the balls of food but once they did, they loved them. They wont eat anything less and there plumage is so beautiful, there eyes are nice and alert and healthy and they just chow down on these berries. Get this food, its so awesome. You wont regret it.

My parot loves this "fast food" of parot foods. However, just like we would not feed our children nothing but McDonalds neither should you feed your bird this food. After being on this food for a month he started to bite and be cranky. I switched him to an organic parot food and the attitude change was great. If your pet has skin problems, attitude problems or other health problems change the food fast! It will take some time for the bird to like the healthy food but what child wants to eat their veggies!

I currently feed this to my cockatiel. She is a very picky eater and I was always worried that she would only eat certain seeds. With this product, she eats basically all of it. This accomplishes what the product says it will. Since the food is formed in little balls, my bird does eat almost all of it with only the shells to discard. She is not able to pick and choose what seeds she eats. I have already recommended this product to my mom for her cockatiel. I know recommend it to you!!

Although neither of my birds are fussy eaters and will adjust to most anything, they are completely obsessed with nutriberries. I've bought other food, but now that they're hooked.... there's no point!

Sweet P.(quaker parrot)loves these and will eat them before he will a treat. He eats most of them so not much goes in the garbage. They are also easy for him to hold with his foot and eat unlike his pellets.
